    Delta 717 problems?

excelent response This is the best response to "If the B717 was such a great airplane, then why did Boeing stop building them" (StopNTSing) IMHO. The bottom line is that Boeing wanted to build Boeing aircraft, not McDonnell Douglas aircraft. Much like many of the airline mergers, behind...

Judge Silver issued her decision in Addington II

hold on there, Skippy.... I don't mean to rain on your parade, but let's save that statement for a few years from now and see if you still feel the same. If they roll out the In 'N Out Burger truck. You had better eat up and celebrate fast. It may not last.

Judge Silver issued her decision in Addington II

If the APA is smart The APA would be wise to sit the USAIR group down at the kiddie table and make them come up with an agreement that everyone signs before attempting to fold the group into the American list. Bring the NIC, NIC Jr. as you put it, money, guns and lawyers, etc. and make it...

    The Fat lady just sang!!

okay Carl, you have a point about the DFR. However, 7-8 years and still no implemented SLI. A judge would not make a ruling and passed it along. It is a complex issue. I like AWA and it's former pilots. I have some friends there. The term "career expectations" is just a buzz word to screw...

    The Fat lady just sang!!

No DFR responsibility for the APA... I doubt the APA will be liable for a previous DFR. ALPA was found guilty in the DFR in it's failure to represent the pilots of TWA. The APA does not have any liability in the DFR. It is entirely upon ALPA. Both sides can be extreme in their views...

AA announces recalls starting Jan 2013

My guess... I would think that AA will be through the rest of the recalls by the end of 2013, about a year from now. Those that already bypassed can make a call and get in the next available class in seniority order. Some may opt to get back before a merger, the 13% equity stake question...

American Pilots & Management Near a Labor Deal? Really?

Oh yeah, just..... Pay Retirement and SCOPE - regional flying Such small details to be worked out. And there there is that Ch 11 thing and potential merger with seniority issues. It is practically an air-tight done deal!

AMR chief says merger decision may be weeks away: FT

It's possible ...sometimes the merger is between two carriers tha t were not being discussed as much. AA has a code share with JB and pretty much gave JB SJU and BOS and partially NYC. It will be interesting times through the end of the year and then some. IMO

Global Aviation Holdings (World Airlines) Bankrupt!

You are more right than wrong Actually, the ATA model worked great. Wasn't it the scheduled passenger service where ATA had the issues? I thought it was the scheduled airservice that hurt ATA, was not in there best working model.

WN buying some A gates in DEN....

The A gates are better suited for international flying. It could be a set up for Mexico flying or just the former AirTran gates. A-41 is a sweet gate. The Air-side bus drops you at the wingtip of your ride!

    East Coast ATP

I second John Trask. I got my ATP with him back in 1995. You can fly in early in the morning (ORF BOS PQI), take the check ride and go home the same day. He was the former CP of NE Express, a former Airlink for NWA. A lot of the commutter guys went to him to get their ATP before upgrade or job...
