My video profile made it on CNN!!!

Great job putting yourself out there. We've all done it by driving the rounds to our local airports looking; this is the same thing. Tailwinds...

TV Report: PILOTS ON FOOD STAMPS

There is alot of nonsense and foolishness on this thread. The end of Indy brought me a new ex-wife and a house to pay for. I can check the government living assistance box. Sometimes life just comes out of nowhere and kicks you in the balls a couple of times. I thought my wife's salary was...

Any advice on landing 91 gig

Jet is jet. And turbine is turbine. Confused? Turbo-prop is usually worthless, but better than a Seminole. Believe me I know it--I have 2200 hours in G-Is and Jetstreams. Time in any business aricraft (even KAs) is better than anything else. It's all in the eye of the beholder. I am glad...

Jetblue: Lateral Move For Regional Captains

I am definately not a Blue Juicer nor do I post that much, but threads of these types always turn into a sword fight. And then there are the guys that piss and moan over a coupledollars-literally-of hourly pay here and there. Only a pilot would brag about being the highest paid at $90/HR...

    Lear 45 Pay

In the 121 world with negotiated contracts, yes. In the corporate world I have yet to see that formula standard. I'm an "SIC" currently and both corporate operators I've worked for pay SICs more like 80-82% of the CA pay. Follow the above advice and you'll be selling yourself waaay short...

    AirTran 121 PIC req't change?

I am right there with you. It is a damn lottery. I applied to B6 12/04 and got a call for the interview 2.5 years later this 06/07!!! I applied to AAI 01/00 and have been updating regularly. I've heard nothing-ever-with job fairs and internal recs. My life and career have changed so much...

    Looking at going corporate!

There is more variation in Part 91 Universe than in the 121 World. In stating Part 91 I am specifically excluding any aircraft on a certificate. Asking yourself what you want out of a career is nothing more than a gut check. If you have a family, they always come first! I would steer...
