Our -60's are on condition, running trend monitoring and SOAP's. We're also running 1000 hr fuel nozzle changes. We have about 25 airplanes running 1000-1200 hrs/yr each.

Do booster seats for short pilots need FAA approval?

    3rd World Aircraft Maintenance

They're not "scabs". Do you know what the definition is of the term "SCABS"? Just because you don't agree with it, don't label the other techicians a term that you don't understand. You had better check your CBA, because if it only limits what the union can do, not what the company can or...

    Salary?

When I was a mech for a 121 operation (Jet Link), I was knocking down $55K, and I was not management. This was 5 years ago. What you are showing is entry level fresh out of A&P school wages for state of the art turbo prop aircraft.

    King Air 200 windshield question

With one windshield damaged, turning on the w/s heat could damage the other windshield or the temp control box. Do not let Flight Safety tell you how to operate the airplane, the manufacturer specifies how the airplane is configured for a maintenance flight for a particular inop system. FSI...

PA32R-300 questions and battery questions in general.

Another thing about the Lance's and some of the other late 70 and 80 vintage Pipers is that the factory used aluminum wire to reduce weight. The aluminum wire builds up corrosion, and resistance and so you may not be getting a full 12 volts to the starter, even with a fresh hot battery. If...

I don't think that there is a statute of limitations. Once you qualify, you're qual'ed, no currency for an original cert. There is currency after the cert is awarded though. Thats spelled out in FAR 65.
