Continental Intl Jumpseat + business class

Think United will always waitlist you as the lowest priority non-revenue for the highest class of service except First class. So more than likely, you'll get Biz class, or Economy Plus if biz gets full. Gate agents at United are mostly very helpful in allowing JSer to get better than coach seats.

    Delta AE

Let's hope it's not a net decrease in MSP. You know how much we love sub-zero winters and all:)

Napolitano: Scanners are safe, pat-downs discreet

I would feel bad for the TSA female screener who "volunteer" to pat down her boss.

    Delta New Hire

First of all, welcome aboard! You'll be greeted with some free Chick-fil-a breakfast, and some exec. from managements throughout the week. I'd wear what you wore to your interview on your first day of class (You can always dress down later, but it's hard to dress up last minute). They do want to...

    TSA xray/patdown on Colbert Report

How about our unions, APA, ALPA, USAPA, etc... all start a mail your congressman campaign, to let them know how we feel?

Napolitano: Scanners are safe, pat-downs discreet

If i were the poor TSA dude in the backroom saw their head honcho's image, i'd puke my guts out already... A 20 year old college co-ed, another story:)

SW Execs Boast They'll Conquer Delta's ATL w/ Air Tran Merger (& get a/c for Hawaii)

That doesn't always translate to stock prices unfortunately.

Questions Thread for Delta New Hires...

It looks like you live in the pac. west from your profile. If they call you at midnight at home, your show is actually 2pm local time MSP, so technically you still have 2 flights to get you in base. There's no way to avoid getting a call at midnight, besides turning off your phone:) I'm not...

Questions Thread for Delta New Hires...

First of all, Congrads. You'll find lots of AF bubbas here at DL, so you'll have plenty of chances to make new friends, and meet old friends. As someone who's based MSPM88, i can tell you what I've experienced since this category opened in April this year. It is a growing category, and word on...

Delta CEO: 'We need lots of folks with language skills'

You think us pilots can moonlight as LOD FA?? If the FA thinks it only takes 6 weeks to become a pilot flying a jet, maybe we can go through their training in 4 weeks?;)

Delta CEO: 'We need lots of folks with language skills'

LOD FAs at pre-merger DL were able to pretty much bypass seniority and get some pretty sweet layovers, and of course the senior mamas weren't too happy about it. But unless the grandma decides to pick up Rosetta stone or learn a new language on their own, i suppose it will remain that way, and...

    Outrageous behavior on layover!

I gotta admit, they do have some good looking southern girls at Citrus, too bad the pilots rarely stay with the FA at the same hotels though! Hilarious!

    Delta Schoolhouse Question

Business casual everyday, including weekend would be a safe bet. You'll probably never see anybody with jeans even on Sunday. If you're lucky to have a checkride with one of our APDs, make sure your shoes are shined!

AirTran CEO 3rd worst in 2010!!

I helped to make Tilton the #1 last year, I hope he'll make three-peat! (He'll be BOD at the new UAL next year anyway) Voted twice already. Twice for Tilton, twice for Bob...

    Delta "Green Slip/Trip" pay...

As a former citrus slave labor, who is now at DL, here's what I think. We didn't have long-call (defined by 12 hour callout at DL) at Tranny, and therefore all reserve pilots are by default on short-call while on duty. At DL, usually there are only a handful of unlucky few sitting short-call...

Are these DAL MD-90s on the way?

No Worries, mate. With the new mod, the MD90 won't be commuter friendly, as it'll need 4 FA, as there won't be a cabin JS available if needed. If i remember correctly, the 800 burns about 3.5 per side, since it cruises way up in mid to high FL30s. I believe the extended overhead bin is a must if...

Are these DAL MD-90s on the way?

The MD90 we have now seats 150, but all will be re-configured to 160 soon. Comparing to the MD88, it has increased ZFW by 12k, max t/o weight increased by approx 11k. Fuel burn is slightly better than the MD88, around 3.5k per side crz at FL32 or so (Our usual cruising alt). Comparing to the...

Impact of Delta Selling Regionals on Flow-through & Flow-back?

I'll be letting my LEC rep knows how i feel about this issue. It's not about how DALPA will use this as leverage anymore. We're talking about a few hundred fellow pilots that got sold down the river. If DL cancels the flow all together, there's a hefty penalty to our 76 seat RJ scope, i.e. 86...

Impact of Delta Selling Regionals on Flow-through & Flow-back?

Yep. Can't remember when did they announce a significant deal on a webcast, or a proper media outlet. Heck, it's not even on our DeltaNet this morning! I had to find that out on facebook!
