USA Jet Training Makes the Difference

Okay, Before you all get way out of control, I'm going to respectfully ask that you at least stay on topic and be respectful of other aviators. This is after all the least we can do for each other. I'm always amazed at how quickly SOME major airline guys and fortune 500 corporate pilots who...

    Air Cargo Express

None. 24/7 is the norm. When do you start your ride alongs?

    Honest question here!!

Actually, I think that if you would look at a precision approach setup (ILS), you'll find that the OM is generally (not always) 5 nm out and is where you intercept the GS, the MM is generally (not always) .5 nm from the threshhold and the IM is generally .25 nm from the threshhold. You may...

    Honest question here!!

I am impressed with your honesty and am inclined to think that you'll be ok as long as you continue to not lie to yourself. There is no "trick" to getting comfortable. Everytime you go IMC you will be a little more comfortable with it. I am not sure what you are flying but the greatest...

    Any one have salary/benefit summaries?

I am just curious as to how bad my current pay is ( I know it's bad). I am flying 135 Cargo in LJ 23 & 24's. I just got typed and as a Capt. have a $36,000 base (avg 1st yr is $40 k with the $1.00 per diem) and very poor medical coverage. Thanks and I appreciate the input.

Get a cargo job with low multi time??

Tough call... I know how you feel. I got my first 135 job with I think 50 hours of multi engine time. I got my first jet job with 150 hours of multi engine time. I still only have 150 hours of piston multi. The key is to get your 135 min. and then worry about your multi time. I don't...

You might be frieght trash if....

Might be??? ...the plane you fly is older than you ...them fancy radar's are for *ussies ...your autopilot is best utilized as a boat anchor ...the chief pilot has been at the company for 3 yrs (and has the most seniority) ...you don't know what a passenger briefing card is ...you don't...

    Fort Wayne Area??

Does anyone know about any opprotunities in the FWA area or companies that will allow a commute? The boxes in back are starting to scare me. Thanks Oh, about me. I have a Lear Jet type and 2800 hrs TT. I am not nearly as concerned about what I fly as I am about my quality of life. Thanks...

If the Captain went below mins...

That sounds cruel...but it's true. Publisher hit the nail on the head. I envy you 700 hour guys who instructed for 6 months and then got on with a commuter (that sounded smarta** but I don't mean it that way). I went the more traditional route and the SOP was whatever works or whatever the...
