I've heard there are grants available to furloughed pilots through the government to further your career, ie type ratings, etc. Anyone have any info on this? Is it a state or federal thing, and has anyone known of it actually coming through? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My friend (former-Eagle) San Juan based , bought an old Toyota Land Cruiser while down there and want to have it shipped to Florida. Anyone know how to go about this and a ballpark $$$ figure?

Welcome on board. Have you considered flying jumpers? I've heard some hire relatively low time guys, seems like it would be fun for awile - good way to build some multi time. Maybe not too many hiring now, but once it warms up it could be worth looking into.

Looked at American Check Transport, but they just filled their remaining spots.

The previous posts are accurate - I recieved all my ratings and instructed at FlightSafety for about 1 year. Great training, facilities, maintenence, and great marketing. They're starving for students now, the instructors each have only two or three. I've met countless pilots who spent tens...

I interviewed June 9-10, got the call today for Sept 23. They said they have been trying to contact me for awhile, which seemed strange since I have one number and the phone is always on. Whatever, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity, can't wait to get started!
