Nothing Like Another Great Day At Asa In Atl..we Had 26 Company Diversions In The 1900z Hour The Other Day Due To The Wx And Winds Here. The Ap Took 63 Total In That Hour.- ASA DX

Oh i agree..and you shouldn't have to give up your entire personal life and log all those hours to make it. Only thing that tells me is, if they are willing to shell out that much money in OT then somebody at the top of ladder isn't hurting for cash. They actually save money in the long run by...- ASA DX

what up buooooyyy..i am not doing any more OT for them..screw them. I will supplement my pay with my MIL pay this year. I am not doing them any favors. I worked 23 freaking days of OT in 2007!!! That almost 13 months of work in 12..hell you only work maybe 20 days in a mnth anyway on 4 on 3...- ASA DX

Yeah but that is always your second phone call..first round is to ask for takers for OT..if they get no takers more then likely they just split the desk up. I have seen Jr. assignment maybe 3 different times ever, and I have never been Jr. assigned the whole time I have been there. Its easy...- ASA DX

Well i havent been to work at ASA in over 18 days, took some MIL leave. I have to get caught up on my bills here at the house and military pays more then my fake ASA job. Moral is in the gutter, new dx's on the floor that aren't even wet behind the ears yet. You have lost all your senior...- ASA DX

How many planes on your desk is in and out of the ORD airport? Surely not your entire fleet. I agree that you guys got some crap to deal with. You named the four or five hubs that you guys work with, and some of those airports can go in the crap. But honestly I would rather have that then... -

Well if you don't work in Atlanta for ASA on the dispatch side then squash that. Skywest cant compare to a/c rotations, hub cluster #$$%@, and swaps on your desk. Don't sit back there and act like you have walked in my shoes buddy, b/c I promise you haven't. Come work in a real airport one... -

I agree and disagree..I have worked both sides of the whole swap process. I was in the c-tower back as a tower coordinator before coming to dispatch. I have seen loading and unloading of bags, pax walking all over the concourse, crews swapping back and forth. I believe that 1 sector manager... -

heard that myself also co-worker...you know the FAA was in here on dayshift, and rwy incursion is a hot topic right now. i think that they think with our a/c trying to monitor our freq. and the tower freq and they think that is operationally unsafe....so we will see later. pm me with your info.. -
