    Pinnacle Files for Bankruptcy

Tell me how a CEO can run a company into bankrupcy and get a pay raise from $425,000 to $675,000 and then ask the Pilots to take a 9% pay cut when first year pilots are only making $1950 a month - before taxes. Many words come to mind and integrity is not one of them.

    New ties

Really, Tie's? As posted earlier, just be glad your check clears regardless of what color tie you wear. I just finished my last day wearing the "Yellow Tie" at CA. I no longer have a tie to wear - or a pay check to go with it.

CitationAir Ceases Sales of Fractional Jet Shares

The future for pilots - 80k at best after it takes 10 years to get there from 19k to start. Thats flying for regional which will end up flying 80% of everything in the U.S. And lets not forget the latest push to increase pilot duty hours. The latest in europe is to encrease to a max of 22hrs...

    Disgusted with Freeloaders at Flops!

petebest, I know it's easy to get caught up with all of the little things that go wrong at a flying job. Don't stress over what others do or don't do. Im a furloughed pilot and haven't flown since May 31, 2009. So just be happy that you have a job flying. If you still are upset about it I...

Web site for Flight Instructor employment

You have to pay to use willflyforfood "will fly for food" - good name for the site because after you pay for using the site you have no money left to eat. Im so tired of all of the job sites charging and then posting jobs for China that require JAA and 747 Type Ratings. I agree with the...

    I'm Here Doing It...at Avantair

Great Company Great company, but they are not looking for the best pilots. If you have worked for another fractional, or are furloughed you don't have a chance. With that said, there is some flawed managment decisions about commitment and customer service from someone that has worked for...

    Resigning Seniority

...and to the post that said they rather work at Home Depot. I have applied to 76 flying jobs including flight instructor and ground ops. Additionally, I have applied to McDonalds and WalMart and have not been hired. So while you are currently working as a pilot be carefull of what you tell...

    CitationAir Recalls 16 Furloughed Pilots

Just a kind reminder to all that are still flying. As a furloughed pilot myself, I can not express how difficult it is to obtain any job right now much less a flying job. Be greatfull and thankfull for getting paid to do something that you love to do.

How much did you spend of flight training?

Got my private in 1987 - $7hr for instructor. $25 hr for C-152. I spent around $9,000 to $10,000 to get to a flight instructor job.

    Beechcraft Sundowner info

MTSAC college uses a Sundowner for flight training. It has been flying for at least the last 15 years. I got my instrument rating in it and enjoyed flying it. I also flew the C172 and equal amount. I think they are both good flying airplanes.

    A Plea for longer pants

If any one cares.... Alot of pilots came from the military. The military dress pants are tailored with a slight brake in the front (not the eleaphant looking style that the i-pod, backpacker, spiked hired kids are wearing), the rear just touching the top of the sole of the shoe. To do this the...

Falsifying his logbook, what do i do?!

Wait unitl he fails training at his new airline because his flying skills don't match his logbook. Then he will have to explain why he couldn't get through training to the next airline that he tries to get hired at.
