    Airways Interview

US asks you to wear your current airline uniform to the interview. Wear your current airline uniform. Get LOR's from people who know you and can honestly attest to your character. Don't get a LOR from someone who doesn't know you. Do you know the CP? I don't. What's so complicated here?

U.S. government, two airlines say open to settling merger fight

Did you even read the articles you linked? Neither say that a settlement is near, or even likely. The last saying that "this one is very hard to call" and stating that significant concessions would be required to settle the case.

    New Rest Rules and Commuting.....

I'll say this: I bet I get way more rest waking up at 500am and sleeping on my 2 hour commute than some guy getting up at 500am, taking the kids to school, running errands, mowing the lawn, whatever in base before his show time...

    Air Traffic Control Specialist Trainee

No. They just did a quarterly staffing update, and stated that there will be no more PUBNAT's (public hiring windows) for the rest of Fiscal Year 2010. In my opinion, public off the street hiring is over. In order to get in now you have to attend a CTI school, or have prior experience in...

    IAD commute

The majority of the UAL express CLT-IAD stuff is CR7 flying, with only one or two CR2 flights during the middle of the day. So yes, perhaps ASA will operate one or two flights a day.

    IAD commute

CLT-IAD It's pretty much all Mesa a/c, with the exception of some PSA -200's and a Shuttle America E170 every now and then. There are A LOT of Mesa guys that do that commute, so expect them to have a higher priority.. but there are normally a decent amount of seats on the Airways side.

    Mesa Bases

As has already mostly been posted, hiring into the D8 (PHX, DEN, GJT??), and CRJ (IAD, ORD, CLT, LIH, HNL, KOA, CLT, PHX). Most likely can hold IAD/ORD and maybe some of the Hawaii bases right out of training. CLT is 6-12 months, PHX is slightly longer. Upgrade? Who knows. A friend of...
