ATTN: World, North American and Evergreen crews !!!

Alaska plans on 24 mo as well. There were two ACMI guys in my class. Hope we can get you guys/gals back to work.

    JETBLUE Anti-union tactics

I really wish you all the best. ALPA is certainly not going to solve your internal problems. It is only as good as you make it as a group. But, you will be joining an association of professional aviators that are dedicated to making our profession better. ALPA, while not perfect, has done...

    Alaska/Delta? Probably not

This thread is really starting to annoy me. Saying that Delta or Delta pilots somehow can't fly in SE Alaska would be like saying (10 years ago) that Alaska could never possible fly to the busy airports back east or fly ETOPS across the Pacific. This argument is silly. If Delta really wants...

    JetBlue in full meltdown mode

Funny, for the vast majority of large airlines in the U.S., 117 has not caused any problems. And for those lucky enough to be working under a good CBA. No problems.

    Who is hiring FA's now?

Oops, I guess it was customer service agents, i thought i had heard Alaska was hiring FA's. I will ask.

    UPS Airbus down in Birmingham

Cliff, I always look forward to your posts. Always useful, always informative. Thanks.

    Southern Air

We just got word that SA corporate HQ's is being re-located to CVG this coming Spring and hopefully exiting bankruptcy at that time (...we'll see how that goes). If anyone knows any former Astar, Comair, or other dispatchers still in the CVG area, please pass the word along as they are hiring...

    Getting to Cargo ramps

In some instances, you can also meet the crew at the hotel if you can get that info (and, of course, get a van to the hotel)

    Weak L-UAL pilots

I really hope you all don't go US Airways on us. I hope that you will all vote what is right for you and move forward with whatever the outcome. I hope you all will act in a professional manner with this like Delta and Northwest seemed to have done (not saying bitterness does not exist, but...

    Latest and greatest at Southern

Crazy were arguing about this. Everyone probably has a good reason for what their current career choice is. It speaks volumes to me that there are so many former Legacy pilots who I fly with at Southern and everyone of them has bypassed recall. I have yet to meet one who plans on going back.

    California Pacific Airlines

Silly idea. Almost as crazy as Skybus. It obviously will never work, but it's cool for the old dude to try it.

    Swa ....etops

I believe it will be a long time before Southwest gets ETOPs. Not to say they can't, I just don't think they will. I think they have too much on their hands right now as the industry changes around them and continues to upset their little domestic apple cart.

    Air Japan (AJX)

Thanks for all the great info! I just rode on your airline from Hong Kong to Narita commuting home. What a class act!

    Delta TA-whos seen it?

From Michael Boyd's morning HotFlash (aviationplanning.com) .....apparently he has some insight into the TA. "That brings us to a new reality: It's becoming more and more obvious that it will be mainline airlines that fly these new aircraft fleets <small jets>. There are two clear indications...

PEOPLExpress tries to fly again as new start-up

This nonsense never seems to end. This idea is crazier than these clowns trying to get California Pacific going. Its nice to see people chase their dreams, but sometimes a little reality is in order. Like California Pacific, it will probably never get off the ground and if it does, it will...

What else does the world owe your generation? LOVE IT! One more year and the baby boomer trash will start to fade into history. I wont miss the opportunity to shove one of their wheelchairs in the ditch someday.

    Southern Hiring

Just a silly rumor (check out this video). Maybe you meant the second a/c? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCKMO9piQXE
