New 1500 hour rule first affected

SWA and CAL B737s...why the six pack on the NGs?
That's not accurate. We did the RNAV RNP stuff while still flying 300/500/700/800/900/900ER at CAL. (300s went away back around 2009, still have 20-30ish 500s) CAL still currently uses the round dial presentation and are able to do all the GPS and RNAV RNP approaches. CAL is merely not... -

AMR bankruptcy Likely.....so says the Associated Press
You can almost guarantee USAir will make a bid at AA if bankruptcy happens. Once the bad debt is gone, USAir will buy them and take the American name. Anyone else attempting to buy it would be difficult due to overlap, unless they sell the pieces. -

AA may or may not "own" those planes, however with an old fleet, they have higher gas bills, more maintenance costs, more down time, higher cost for replacement parts. Didn't AA have to ground its whole MD-80 fleet about a year ago because some FAA maintenance issue? I'd be more than willing... -

Has anyone posted the gains from AT on this TA? What are the new payrates? Any new rigs? Min days off? International or night overrride? Premium pay? I haven't seen anyone post any details on any meat in the TA. What gives? -

I agree, there is no possible way the 2012 number for United retirees is accurate, at least not due to age 65. The mandatory retirements for age 65 will kick in during December 2012. The statistic listed would be saying that there are 263 pilots that have December birthdays that just happen to... -

It might also be worth mentioning that these over 60 guys have been working at CAL for 20-30 years (for some of them). Merely as a pride thing, there will be some that walk from CAL just to say they retired from CAL, not United. In addition, a lot of gummers have been doing their same thing... -
