You gotta love factual journalism. He put his back out swinging his bag into place on the 73 cockpit and he's been out on medical since then. The reason this is making news now, is that he has 3 years to sue for further loss off income, due to an injury sustained at work. Dont know him but... -

2 years into flying in Australia, after 12 years in the US, I've come to the conclusion it's because they have sub-concious feeling of inferiority. It's almost as if they (the Australians in particular) have to make operating an aircraft as difficult as possible, just to prove they're better at...- Kenny

I should've stayed for at least another 12 months. Although Air Whisky was far from the place it was when I joined. But I wouldn't have missed out on the various opportunities to move on, that have surfaced since I left. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of positives to flying in Australia...- Kenny

FedEx requires you to have resided in the US continuously, for the 5 years prior to applying. AFAIK there isn't a similar requirement at UPS.- Kenny

It's not always easy to return home after having done the expat thing and while the rest of the world may not care about the magical 1000 turbine PIC, it's an insurance policy if you do want to come home. I'd wait.- Kenny

Just for those that are interested, at the Southern Hemisphere 73 operator I work for, we just started slecting VNAV on the ground for STD and NADP1 T/O's. Select VNAV on the ground and accept the default Acceleration Height of 1000' agl for STD departures and change to 3000' agl for NADP1... -
