    Sanctuary and Retirement

Thanks for all the insight Unfortunately, I only have 4400 +/- AD points, so would take 8 solid years of AD to complete an immediate retirement. Only 5-1/2 years to mandatory retirement, unless of course I get promoted to O-6.  So looks like I'll be able to pad my age 60...

    Civil Air Patrol Until Retirement?

Congrats! So how big did the bribe end up being? ;) AS far as duty goes, main on is to visit CAP units during their normal weekly meetings. Our Liaison Region (LR) commander (an AD O-5) requires us to attend a SAR manager's course once every 3 years, and a SAR EXercise once/year. WE also...

    AME in CMH?

Probably should have put this in the Med forum, but doesn't look like it's read much. Anyone have any experience with Dr. Kearns, Dr. Lewis, or Dr. Applegate (Marysville)? Thanks!

    Sanctuary and Retirement

    For a Guardsman/REservist, is a 20 year "active duty" retirement? 20 yrs x 360 = 7200 points, or 20 yrs x 365 = 7300 points? Whichever the correct answer is, how many points makes sanctuary? 18/20 years x 7200 = 6480 points, or 18/20 years x 7300 = 6570 points? If you make it into sanctuary...

So what's the story on this latest 400 flameout?

Deja Vu all over again... Quote: I just find it amazing that these incidents have all happened recently and in a relatively short period of time. These planes have flown for years and years without problems. Makes me think that it is something outside the basic design of the airplane thats...

    Thanks from an NJA Rookie

Blackberry Thanks to all for the insight and encouragement. What cell company does NJA use for the Blackberries? If it's SPrint, is it possible to deactivate my current phone and have my current phone # transferred to the BLackberry?

    Thanks from an NJA Rookie

To all the regulars (and irregulars) who post here about NJA, thanks for all the great info. It helped me feel much more comfortable in my interview and no doubt improved my performance there. I got THE call today, and will be CMH-based Excel beginning July 17. Now to pick your brains one...

    Civil Air Patrol Until Retirement?

You just hit the nail on the head I'm pretty sure they DON'T care. As far as patches, my SD gave me all but the name tag. Bought those through Mardon - $14 for two of them - royal blue with dark yellow/gold rim and white lettering/wings. Don't know if it's different by state. www.mardonco.com...

    Civil Air Patrol Until Retirement?

CAPRAP is run through Air University at Maxwell AFB. Try comm 334-953-5225 or-6091. Who you REALLY need to talk to is the Liaison Officer for your state. Presumably, Maxwell actually knows who that is and can put you in touch with him/her. (S)he will be your supervisor, and if (s)he hires...

    NJA Equipment Type

OK, so the V and 400XP present extra challenges Anything else y'all would have wanted to know on the day you were called and offered a choice of equipment? Perhaps Workin' Stiff said it all? Thanks!

OK, didn't mean to hijack my own question  Do appreciate the insight into the various types.

    NJA Equipment Type

Potty? Hey Gordon, Just reading the post about your leg being asleep. Are pilots allowed to get up and use the john with pax onboard, or is that considered an intrusion into their domain? God gave me the bladder of a pregnant woman. :erm:

    NJA Equipment Type

Folks, I have an interview with NJA next week. I make no presumption that I will be hired, but I certainly hope to be. Not to put the cart before the horse (believe me, I’ve spent scores of hours preparing for the interview and sim), but if my hopes are fulfilled, there’s a good possibility...
