    Oh 58's

The A's and C's are still around in National Guard units doing S&S and RAID missions. To my knowledge there are none in any Active duty units. These guard 58's are getting replaced by the UH-72 Lakota's. I flew a C model today actually...they're still running strong!

    Africa Major Helo Crash

It sounds to me like the helicopter was still somewhat flyable if the pilots had time to get out of the 5-point, open doors, throw their legs over the cyclic and jump. I wonder if the surviving pilot feels the least bit guilty. I can imagine the lawsuits already...

    Outrageous new drug testing policy

I already get "watched" randomly during Army urine tests, now the airlines want to see it too? There couldn't have been a problem with someone faking a piss test....

    New Skywest mins....

Just because 1,000/100 is no longer a hard number, it doesn't mean that we are hiring 500 hour guys like mesa is. Unless I'm ill-informed, we were about the last regional that was requiring at least 1,000 hours total time...everyone else lowered the bar first.

    Telex or Uflymike?

I've had the Telex 850 for about three months now and I love it - lightweight, good noise reduction, no batteries. The noise reduction is not as good as the UFly combo, but it's still really good.

Scenic vs. ACC vs. Great Lakes

A lot can change in the next 2 years... I suggest that you take whatever you can get as soon as you can get it - as long as your building time it'll definitely help you in the long run! Good luck

Is Skywest REALLY hiring people @ 1000/100?

I just got hired w/Skywest @ 1080 and 540 multi (mostly BE-1900). I highly suggest getting your time ASAP, study up and go to a group interview. The more time you waste will affect your seniority when you get hired. The worst that can happen is they don't invite you to SLC for the real...
