Tow some banners
I would suggest a season towing some banners. You will make substantially more than the guys in the regionals. At least with a few companies out there. You will build fast hours and learn some valuable lessons. Flying low and slow over beaches keeps you on your toes. And its a...
I was hoping to keep myself busy through the fall by taking some aerial photos. I know a few real estate agents that I was going to approach. Im just not sure what people would pay for something like that. I plan to invest in a very nice camera I just want to be sure I am charging the right...
I fly those cubs
I am flying one of those cubs this summer for van wagner. And you are correct. The props are much longer than standard and 3 pts must be done to assure no prop strikes. What a great airplane.
I am currently flying super cubs towing banners. I will have about 750 hours by the fall and was wondering what I might be able to do next summer. I would love to be able to find employment in Alaska to be able to relocate there. Any suggestions?
My dream for a long time has been to fly a fire bomber. When I checked into it years back it was mainly ex military pilots. Im building my time this summer flying super cubs towing banners. How can a civilian get into the right seat of a bomber? Or a lead plane? Any information would be greatly...
I am flying this summer towing banners with a super cub. Im trying to plan my next move and wanted to know more about crop dusting. I should have close to 1000 hours by the end of the summer. I saw some crop dusting schools but really dont have money to invest. Curious how a low time guy would...
Thanks guys
I just got a job offer in Florida to tow banners. I leave in a less than two weeks. Thanks for all the good advice. I think a summer in a Super Cub wont be to bad.
Is there any other options for low time guys besides CFI and banners?? I want to do the banner thing so if you have any info on outfits. I would greatly apprieciate it. Thanks.
It seems like the only options for low time guys are the CFI route or towing banners. Anyone know of any others? Or any info on banner outfits. I got my Commercial ticket last week and want to find something soon.
Thanks,
Chris
Im hoping to fly banners for Van Wagner this summer. A friend flew for them last year and loved it. I have heard rumors that they are changing some policies such as paying for training and finding your own housing for the first couple months. Does anyone have any knowledge of this company??
Aeroflight is always looking for frieght dogs
Aeroflight based at BFI is always in the need of pilots. Running 402s, Chieftains and Senecas. One of the best safety records in the biz. Good luck.
I realize that it is all about who you know but what if you dont know anyone in the industry. I have heard of really low time guys getting hired for the right seat of different outfits. I think the corporate side sounds better to me than the airlines but much harder to get in on. Any suggestions???
