Agreed. The data they provided ARINC (which in turn is used in their flight planning) is very accurate. We're almost always within 100lbs of flight plan fuel.
We did however have a situation between a city pair that we fly often where we were consistently burning 200-300lbs more than flight...
From ARINC:
TEB-NYL (Yuma,AZ) 2050nm (optimized route)
Payload -1600lbs
Fuel Required - 9692lbs (assuming 250lb taxi)
Reserves - 1500lbs (I plugged in a 45 minute reserve but it came out to 980lbs. I don't know anyone who would land with that)

Would that be Marine Military Academy?
Went there for summer "camp" 2 summers in junior high. Wanted to go to high school there but we couldn't afford it.
I left Socal almost 3 yrs ago and Metro Jet was operating under Berry Aviation's certificate. Not sure if they are still on that cert or not but I believe they are still around at HHR. They did mostly runs to the ditch but were available for any charter. I'm sure Berry still holds out their...
Did 2 yrs out there as a captain. Loved it. Berry gets a bad rap on this board but I didn't have any problems there. Just the typical gripes you'd hear at any company including the majors. They do hire street captains. PM me for more.

We switched over to the high/low method of per diem found on the GSA website for our domestic stuff. The low rate is $45/day and the high is $58. There is a...
Did the search.

Are you married? Are you fine with possibly being gone for more than a week? What about two? Do you have a lot of obligations at home e.g. elderly parents to take care of or the like?
I have such a job and thus far I've been fine with...
You're right. I was thinking of the plateau it sits on which, in hindsight, isn't that high. Still, IMHO, it's an easier place to get into/out of than ASE or EGE.
Rifle.
It's on a mesa and not nearly as threatening as flying into ASE. ILS and more than enough runway for a King Air.
The people at Rifle Jet Center are great. Most guys go to Aspen so I've never had a problem with traffic/ramp space. If ASE goes down though it can get a little busy. The...
Nothing wrong with the 'ole Twin Otter, Aloha Flyer.
I did that run for a year and a half and loved it. Of course, now that they've closed Fagali'i, I can see where it would be a pain, since you'd have to go into Faleolo anyway. But hey, you could always RON in PPG before going on! Let's...
