    fainted/passed out/lost consciousness

Have they put a Holter monitor on you to check for unexplained arrythmias ? Check for hypoglycemia ? Do doppler studies to ck for carotid artery occlusions ? On prescription (or OTC) meds ? It is also possible to cause a vasovagal response by pressing on the carotids, so if you were wearing...

    American Pilot dies in Monterrey,MEXICO

He was from Nashville. I didn't know him, but by his obit, it looks like he was around aviation a long time. Probably a few of you knew him. http://www.legacy.com/Tennessean/Obituaries.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=99973426

    Depression

Um, there's no such drug class as "hydrochloride". And yes, I am a Pharmacist. I do agree with Amish about consumer-driven Physician prescribing. The FDA really dropped the ball when they decided to allow pharmaceutical companies to directly advertise to the public.

    Citation Bravo Captain (3 Postions) ( Part: 91 / 135 )

I didn't know there was anything wrong with SimCom. Is this just a "status" thing ? Maybe ye of much jet experience can enlighten me. Sounds like there would be many stories to be told after working here.

    Best place to get training

Great post by GP. My acro experience is limited to a Super Decathlon, which does all the basic stuff just fine. More talented people can do a lot more ! You may want to check out the International Aerobatic Club site for some information. I think you can look for instructors there, too...

    Aircraft Painter Recommendations Please

You might try Sunshine Aviation in Russellville, KY. They're at 4M7. They used to be in Portland, TN (I think they had a few EPA problems there...) before they moved. I seem to recall them doing some work for the folks I flew with (touchups and the like), and the boss was satisfied with it...

    What would you do?

Find a place that does tailwheel training and do some low-and-slow fun stuff. Or blow it some helo dual. The floatplane idea is a good one, too !

    Multi Engine Ultralights

You would enjoy an AirCam - they are a blast to fly. Docile, too, for a taildragger.

Help deciding what plane to get if any!

It seems to me like you really need turbocharging, especially if you intend to load up the plane as you say. A Cessna T206 might just be your perfect fit. Roomy and big payload to match. Bonanzas are great planes, but nowhere near the room. If you get a Bo, consider one with a Tornado Alley...

    Climb to 350 FRAUD

Texan, I take no offense. I knew the new tickets were out there, but I just apparently had not noticed the ID number option. Seems that there are a lot of folks like me out there who haven't bothered to look into it, so AOPA puts that into their seminars.

Great Lakes Air (not the airline)

Of course, if you've been to Mackinac Island during the summer, it seems like someone leaked the secret ! A beautiful place, to be sure.

    Climb to 350 FRAUD

I just found out that you can get your SSN removed from your pilot's license, and they issue you an ID number instead. Apparently you can do this on the FAA website. Thought it was a good idea. Gleaned this little nugget from an AOPA Safety Seminar.

Help look for Steve Fossett !

If you go to www.avweb.com there is a link that will take you to a site where you can "look" for Steve Fossett. Really. This isn't a joke. They are using satellite images and some scanning program to allow you to examine the areas they are looking in. You can mark anything that looks...

    Steve Fossett Missing

Avweb.com has some interesting links that you can use to "help" find Mr. Fossett. Seems they are using spy satellites to take pix of the area. You can then look at the images to see if you can spot anything of potential interest. You can then mark the spot, and someone with the search effort...
