I tried to jumpseat on Comair from Bangor to Boston yesterday (about 200 miles), and the gate agent wouldn't let me on because they were weight restricted. Give me a break.
What would you do? I've currently got about 750 hours part 121 turbine SIC, and about 1100 hours total time. I'm looking at new jobs, and I've got the option between turbine 121 or 135 SIC jobs or one that'll give me PIC time in an Islander. I'm leaning toward the latter.
I write this as I sit laid up with broken bones. My opinions may very well be affected by the Vicodin, so take it for what it's worth.
I really think that as the baby boomers retire, there will be a massive shortage of pilots, causing airline pay and QOL to basically return to pre 9/11...
