AA Pilot Leader Wants America West Pilots in Seniority Talks - Article

If anyone can sort out that mess I have a little problem in the Middle East I want them to work on.

    Medical fails may climb

I just looked at the BMI chart. My BMI when I ran a marathon (a respectable 3:29) was 24.6. My resting heart rate then was 60. I once got down to 24 and my friends were concerned about my health because I became so gaunt. If they start judging they need to have a better method to determine...

New 1500 hour rule first affected

Are the majors really sucking all of the 1500 hour pilots out of the system? I had over 6000 when I stopped applying without one response. I'm not sure that 1500 is really necessary to be a copilot in this industry. I was a Navy helo PIC with about 750 total and I think I was pretty...

Any "Latest & Greatest" About Atlas?

That thread really got confusing. HOURBUILDER where exactly do you live? If you are more than 130 miles from MIA you will have gateway. There is some logic for not bidding MIA as your base. First, you will have to sit in the hotel when on reserve. The room is about $100 a night which will...

    Southern Air Files

You kind of answered your own question. If there are only 777 and -400 on the property they will probably concentrate on them. Also I think everyone is jumping to conclusions. There is DIP financing in place which is very important to getting further credit. Atlas went through this a few...

    747-8f

CI is based on a lot of things, not a fixed number. It is usually different for each flight. I don't understand the question. Do you even know what the difference between CI 10 and 999 is? Except that the plane goes faster.

    JetBlue Pilot Plans Insanity Defense

It's easy enough to keep him off a plane. Add him to the TSA watch list, problem solved. He can't buy a ticket. I'm sure he's no longer in CASS.

WTF!! Why give me a Visual and expect me to intercept the LOC?

So true. Coming in BAH last night they asked to vacate at Bravo, the end of the runway. Upon touchdown they said vacate at Delta, about 3000' earlier. Just said unable. We had already adjusted break settings for Bravo wasn't about to start fiddling with settings at touchdown. I was always...

Jetblue To Base Pilot Pay On Customer Service Score

Any "Latest & Greatest" About Atlas?

So Omni and World are announcing furloughs due to the lack of military pax flying and Atlas announces that it is commencing military pax flying. Not to mention two -400's that are dedicated to military pax flying. It makes me think that Atlas may be over reaching in that market. I wonder how...

Any "Latest & Greatest" About Atlas?

I agree with pimpin. It is concessionary. Mr. "On first year pay and I had a ********************ty job before so this is great." Sure after being kicked in the balls for a while being kicked in the shins seems a lot better but you're still being kicked. Polar lost a lot of important work...

Courtesy in the skies is gone, frequent fliers say

I hate the people who have to grab your seat for support to get in and out of their seat waking you up. Then the ones who have to use your seat like a handrail when walking down the aisle.

    Atlas Questions

In 2040 planes will be flown by some guy with a GED from the ground. ;=). We're all doomed.

    Hey Atlas new hires.

Growth is good. All of the rumors the past six months have been very positive. The upgrade announcement lends some credence to those rumors also. I hope that we are on a new CBA by April. Looking forward to seeing what this place looks like in a year or so. I am cautiously optimistic.

    Hey Atlas new hires.

Your are correct, information confirmed on the 1224 site.

    Hey Atlas new hires.

Where did the upgrade announcement come from? I was on the company website and there were no messages from the CP.

    1261 days to go!

Not to rain on this parade but they are looking at age 70 now. That would take it to 2671. Of course I don't see more than half the guys at my outfit making it to 65 let alone 70. If that changes expect to see a lot of ambulances meeting planes when they land due to a medical emergency in the...
