    2010 Taxes

Standard works better in my case, since lot of the cities I overnight in are low GSA rate cities and almost no international. As an example company paid me ~$4600 on per diem last year and standard IRS rate would have paid me ~$8100; difference of $3500, so whatever it equals to in the end I...

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p463.pdf Page 6 " Special rate for transportation workers". However this 2009 pub and I'm not sure if it has been updated for 2010...maybe pub mentioned above will give you better rates.

    New ASA bases and fences

Agree. Maybe I'm wrong but there were no fences at Delta/NWA after SOC other than 777/747 are fenced off for a while. Anyone?

    Get ASA/XJT Combined Seniority List

Looking forward to working with XJET guys, let's make this one great airline to work for and stop the fighting. Personally I don't care if I'm going to be junior to a guy hired after me, I will be ok with relative seniority plus we don't even know how we are going to be integrated, so stop...

    New ATL CP

I believe he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and was a UH-60 Pilot. I agree, he will be a good chief pilot and an overall nice guy.

ASA confirms details for Air Mekong

Exactly, Vietnam is not part of JAA, mostly EU countries only, plus some non-EU like Ukraine or Croatia to name few. Then again, just about any country is ICAO member state. http://www.icao.int/cgi/statesDB4.pl?en http://www.jaa.nl/introduction/membership.html

2009 tax year per diem rate????

Thanks for the link. I used to do mine with city/state rate which turned out to be around $1000 less per year than the IRS transportation worker rate. However I don't see the dates and rates you mentioned anywhere on that publication...

2009 tax year per diem rate????

It was $52/day in 2008, I have not bee able to find 2009 rates, seems like IRS has not updated Pub. 463 since. Therefore I assume the $52/day is still in effect, however I'm not a tax professional.

    Questions for Army Aviators

Good luck, hope it works out for you. I also wanted to join the TX Guard, and was trying to get an age waiver, however at 36 it was not going to happen without prior military.
