excellent combination of performance and cost
100 gph block to block....TAS 350 kts @ FL390...huge baggage capacity...easy to fly and G1000 makes single pilot ops comfortable... great brakes and ridiculously low ref speeds 88 kts...excellent air conditioning system... passengers like the...
Fuel burn and maintenance on the 501 or 551 will be significantly more expensive. Mustang is more initial investment. "Pay me now or pay me later." The mustang will have much higher re-sale value though.
My full fuel useful load is 835 lbs (including pilot). Fuel burn is 100gph. Plan on 3 hours with NBAA reserves. Cessna number is 1150 NM with reserves. Airplane climbs well and you can use higher cruise altitudes unless ISA is +15 or more. TAS is 350+ at ISA and FL370.
Owned and flew a Blackhawk conversion of the C90B for one year (same performance as the C90GT). Great climber. 265-270 kts at FL 220-250. The new Proline 21 version will make it more competitve with new avionics competitors.

Took delivery of # 008 Mustang last week and have just completed 25 hours of mentoring program. Excellent airplane. Is exceeding bookTAS at all altitudes.
Over COS at 390 and ISA we trued 347. FF of 270 lbs/side.
My useful is 857 lbs with zero crew.
