    Emirates Looks At Transpacific Operation

I think GL and 8sugar are both somewhat right. EK will probably not take a lot of traditional American passengers that want miles. They will however take some that like a higher standard. And I believe they will take many non traditional American passengers. 1st or 2nd generation immigrants...

    Emirates Pay

You are right Green. Along with what you mentioned staff travel flights are also deducted from your paycheck and I'm married so I pay 210 dirhams ($58 Us Dollars) a month for my wife's medical insurance. Jeremy

    Emirates Pay

I'm a 4 year FO flying the 777. My average paycheck is 27,500 dirhams a month. That comes out to $7493 dollars take home a month. I also live out of accomodation. I get 160,000 dirhams a year for that. 160,000 divided by 12 is 13,333 which is $3632 per month. Add the two together it come...

    Flydubai.com recruits

Yea, I guess I should have said that MOST people would consider the layover destinations not as good as that of Emirates.

    Flydubai.com recruits

It's actually more, a captain at Emirates recieves 14420 dhms a month for housing allowance, Fly Dubai captain gets 16000 a month. Good paying job, but might be boring flying depending on what you like.

    Emirates and Dubai

Emirates vs Southwest I work at EK. I have a job at Southwest and have defered class until later this year. I'm single 33 and having a blast. Will I go to Southwest? Honestly not sure, both are great. Im honestly leaning towards staying at Emirates, but I change my mind every other month...

My EK interview is 6 days away

Chair Fly a lot. Think of your past scenarios and answer them in this format 1. Set up the scenario (I had been a captain on the crj for two years, flying out of Dallas...) 2. Explain the situation (While climbing out of Dallas we got a oil pressure low warning) 3. Explain how you resolved...

14 weeks pay given as profit share

Thanks, my favorite lay over so far was a 3 day overnight in Jakarta. 8 FA's in my room every night! I didn't know about pprune when I was looking into Emirates. It does have more info for sure but a lot of the info in there is exagerated. I think the level headed guys from Emirates tend to...

Its in between New York (15th most expensive city) and LA (42nd most expensive city) according to LAMercer Human Resource Consulting Cost of Living Survey - Worldwide Ranking 2007 Dubai came in at 34th most expensive. 14 weeks pay given as profit share

If you take housing, tax free, salary, flight pay and do not include the bonus it's equivalent to making 130000 in the US. For 1st year FO that does not suck. The bonus is based solely of basic salary.

14 weeks pay given as profit share

Emirates Airlines gives 14 weeks pay profit share Emirates Airlines announced today 14 weeks profit share. First year FO here for the entire year gets around 19000 US dollars. Nice bonus!!

Emirates Taxes 1. 95 percent sure you do not have include housing. 2. I arrived in Sept. This year I filled for an expectation to qualify under 330 days extension. It's a specific form and allows you to delay filing until you reach the 330 days. After you have been in here a full tax year...

    Emirates and Logbooks

I had a electronic printout of my logbook and a letter from the chief pilot stating my hours with ASA were correct (even though he had no way to prove it). That worked for them.

    Emirates Accomodations for Single FO's

Do a search for an older thread. Facts and opinions on Emirates Airlines. I posted it in the majors section. I put honest answers to a lot of common questions people have about the company, training and living here.

    Emirates Accomodations for Single FO's

Single FO Apartments I'm a single FO living in 21st Century on Sheik Zayed Rd. In my opinion Millenium is the nicest building. Workout and pool area are better than a lot of gyms. Not to mention the scenery! 21st is nice as well, it's in a better location but not as nice of a building. I...

    Emirate Benefits and housing?

Overall I do like it. Pay during training is 5600 a month take home which lasts about 3 months. Pay while you are flying is around 6300 a month take home not including per diem. Per diem adds maybe 500 a month give or take a few hundred, it depends on how much you fly. Per diem is given at...

    Emirate Benefits and housing?

Housing Anyone can live at your house, it's yours. I asked this questions thinking about my parents when they get older. They told me the house is mine and I can do what I want.

    Emirate Benefits and housing?

Pass benefits She can fly home as much as she wants, but she will have to pay for it. You each get one free trip home a year that is positive space, the rest of it you have to pay for. It's about 200 bucks economy round trip to IAH or JFK. There are no buddy passes for friends. Your blood...
