Single Engine in Orlando Sanford area

Looking for a single engine rental for the occasional trip from Central Florida to Fort Myers. Prefer 4+ seats and IFR but a 152 would do. Airline pilot with 15000+ hours so no worries about abusing equipment. Sanford airport is ideal but other airports in area OK.

Arrow has had a 757 in Santo Domingo (SDQ) for several months. I have parked next to them several times this summer.

    Scott Kalitta Died

One of his racecar sponsors was DHL. I believe Scott owned Transcon Airlines out of Miami in the late 90's as well.

Well, there's about 1,000 more on the street

I guess the domesday of 12 767's in KIX and MIA with 150 to 200 pilots turned out to be reality. At least ABX will keep the delta and AA airplanes.

Looks like Joe Hete had the crystal ball and is the only one who prepared

    CFII Before CFI ?

Any recommendations on a flight school in Central Florida that can tailor make an initial CFI-I. I do not have a CFI nor do I want one however I have an ATP with over 10,000 hours and the instrument instructor written in hand. Not interested in 141 school. MEI-I is also a consideration if the...

    DHL/LH to operate B777F

<<<<<<<<<Why do you doubt him?<<<<<<<<<< Some of what he cuts and pastes may very well be true but his comments about ABX and ABX management (in my opinion) discredits the entire post. Go back and read all of his/her posts especially in the thread " DHL in talks to sell US Unit to FDX" I...

    DHL/LH to operate B777F

<<<<<<<<Oh yes, and I'm on the project team>>>>>>>>>>> Ya right. I am sure the project team is proud to have a team member called "eurowheenie" with an icon of a chick with her exposed butt sticking out. I will give u one thing: you can cut and paste real well!!

DHL in talks to sell US Unit to FDX

...It's our impression.... Hey Euroweenie who is "our"? Your posts makes you sound like you hang out with Dr. Z or do you have an office in Plantation? Give us a name and your title. Other than that take your s&^# somewhere else. You talk out of your a*&

DHL in talks to sell US Unit to FDX

    >>>>>>>>>>>You don't really know a whole lot about international logistics, do you?<<<<<<<<<<<< Eurowheenie, just your stupid name and icon of some chick with her butt sticking out leads me to believe you are an idiot with nothing more than a 10 dollar bill hanging out of your pocket to join...

    ABX and CHI?

    >>>>>>>>>>>Upper management is already set to pit one pilot group against the other. The real race to the bottom will begin shortly unless we can all get together.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Too late for that. This is the beginning of the end. I for one am keeping my options open. Original ABX pilots...

Well, 5 more years in the right seat.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<They will eventually force you to stay until the retirement age, or take a penalty in your retirement, etc.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< You can bet management will try to nego a penalty leaving before 65. They are probably salivating at the thought of taking up to 5 more years to fund your...

Well, 5 more years in the right seat.

So typical of congress. One size fits all. Yes SWAPA did us no favors. Flying from San Diego to Phoenix on a nice sunny Tuesday afternoon may be ok for a 65 year old. Thanks to all the members of the Allied Pilots Assn. for there efforts in preserving the age 60 retirement. Here is a group...

No Atlantic Awards for Cargo Pilots

Had a funny thing happen several years ago that evened the score at an FBO in Kansas that CLEARLY catered to the pax corporate world. Fuel was "contract" however one night there was a new girl behind the counter. Took about 11,000 gallons in our thirsty DC8 freighter. Ended up walking out...

    Copilot Flying

I had a corporate job that had rules against letting the F/O fly except on empty legs. I would usually let the F/O fly from the left seat. In addition I would make them file flight plans and do all the Captain duties. I took this opportunity to train F/O's to help them become Captain...

    Interview suits

cargo interview Maybe some 135 cargo/freight companies dont care how you dress for an interview but dont show up to any interview at a 121 cargo company without an appropriate suit, tie and shoes. treat these interviews as you would a major passenger airline interview

    Interview suits

Shoes always tell the story. I was on a interview board for 2 of my former airlines (out of business). All of us knew that candidates would spring for a new suit and tie but how many considered shoes. There is nothing worse than old shoes with a quickie airport shine. If you want to wear...
