I spent almost 11 years on active duty and am currently in the reserves. I was under the impression that if I worked off the remainder of my 20 years in the reserves that at the age of 60 I would get medical benefits until I was pushing up daisies. I just heard recently that that's not true... -

I think a better plan MIGHT be to try to figure out which chief pilots have made calls. Once all have been listed we might have a better of when the calls are about to come to an end. Phoenix Dallas Oakland ???? Sounds like a lot more calls to be made. Is there a chief pilot for Vegas yet... -

I have a friend that got the call last night. The chief pilot told him that the names were split up amongst chiefs by last name. His last name was at the end of the alphabet. With that information, it appears that listing your last initial might be the best information to pass along to all... -

737 type and getting hired
I got an interview with SWA without a type, but it took a while (one month before my date of availability...application was in the system for 10 months). From what I've seen it looks like 737 type = quick interview (within a month in some cases). IMHO, If SWA is your #1 choice get the type... -

Pilot Slots & Previous Experience
Great advice here. Don't go to a recruiter that will tell you, "Just sign up to get in the military. Once you're in the system it'll be easier for you to get a pilot slot." They have numbers they need to make and I wouldn't put it by them to try to use that as the carrot to get you to sign...
