    Workers deserve a choice

The FAA says that a pilot must have a minimum rest period of 8 hours (reduced) in a 24 hour period. The airlines routinely operate 16 hour duty periods, with 8 hours of rest begining from when the aircraft parking brake is set, and ending when 30 minutes (roughly) from when the parking brake...

SkyWest Pilots cancel IAH-DFW for scope viloation!

I have spoken with their CP... and no punitive or diciplinary action will be taken on either of these two pilots.

    Skywest Pay Vote in Effect

And likewise other regionals have benefitted from Skywest compensations. Skywest was the first regional to get 100% DH pay. Skywest was the first regional to get Premium pay (i.e. 1 min. pay for 1 min duty over 12 hours). Skywest is still the only regional to pay 4+ hours on 6 holidays...

What's up with UAL and the Jumpseat?

PM me and I will give you a copy of the latest memo.... Actually if you are in fact an OO pilot you can find it on SWOL under CS documents. For all others.... there IS a memo that was handed down from UAL to SkyW stating no more jumpseats. After a few quick calls to managment (and then UAL...

    Skywest Jumpseat LAX-PSP on EMB120

the EMB is weight limited by zero fuel weight. It truely depends on the amount of bags as to whether or not they can take 30.... a jumpseater is almost never going to be allowed unless it is all business travelers.

What???? Where did you see this?

OAL Jumpseaters on United to be charged...

This rumor was started due to some incorrect information from the UAL/UAX customer Service departments, along with the UAL/UAX travel/benefits departments. upper managements, and the UAL/UAX JSC reps got this straightened out a week or two ago. There is no charge for UAL/UAX OMC travel in...

UAL wants to change jumpseating to ID90

Hmmm, were you on that call? I was, and can tell you that you are flat out wrong. The solution came from the hard work, and combined effort of ALL the Jumpseat Committees, UAL, MAG, SkyW, RAH, GoJet (Trans States JSC was non participatory), and Colgan. As to SAPA getting it wrong.....Well...

UAL wants to change jumpseating to ID90

It was resolved by having our CEO not sign a contract until it was agreed upon to have it in writing that there will be "no change" to OMC travel for all UAX pilots. Now we are working on getting something we can show the agents so that any confusion will be cleared up right then instead of...

UAL wants to change jumpseating to ID90

This issue has been resolved. No fee is necessary for ANY pilot riding OMC on UA/UAX flights.

    Fedex Plane Down In Japan

Thanks to whomever posted the names. I have quite a few military friends over at FedEx whom I have lost contact with. While I am thankful it wasn't anyone I knew....I feel a great sadness for the families loss here. RIP

    CASS rules?

Being in CASS does not automatically get you in with other CASS carriers. Even if other CASS carriers do not require a reciprocal agreement (Jet Blue for example) the airline still has to add you to their list of codes. Some may do this when ARINC publishes the list every 30 days or so, but...

    Go airlines jumpseaters to HNL

First off, I am by no means your typical FI poster. Second, I am the jumpseat chair at my airline, and this issue has been discussed with many JSC's at other airlines on our own forums. Third, it is not the Mesa pilots that are SAYING they are domiciled in different stations, it is Mesa...

    Go airlines jumpseaters to HNL

I believe Mesa gets around the TDY, vs. jumpseat on company business "rules" by shifting domiciles. I don't work at Mesa, but worked with their jumpseat coordinator when GO first started. If I remember correctly the procedure went something like.....your trip this month all start out of...

Foreign Carrier Pilots Jumpseating in US

Skywest has jumpseat agreements with Air Canada, Jazz, and Air Jamaica. Hopefully soon with AeroMexico, and Aero California

    Delta/ASA travel benefits

I think you may have misunderstood some things from your JSC (Craig I assume you mean). First Skywest Inc management did not ask for the new gate computers software that uses this "flow back", nor did they ask for these fees. Second, DCI has had a higher priority over OAL's since I have been...

    Delta Jump$eat ???

As I stated on the regionals forum......This is a computer glitch that affects DCI carriers ONLY, not all jumpseaters. Also, the glitch will only affect SkyWest, and ASA as of today (Dec. 04th). The only reason a SkyWest, or ASA pilot will be charged is because of the new segment fees on...

    Rumor at ASA

You will only be charged: 1. if you are seated in the cabin. 2 ONLY if you are currently flying for a Delta Connection Carrier and have Delta benefits. All other jumpseaters WILL NOT BE CHARGED.
