Age 60 - Where is it Now?

Pretty good article posted at Airline Pilot Central about the status of Age 60 bills http://airlinepilotcentral.com/resources/news/age_60_rule_-_where_is_it_now?_20070105173.html

    A380 - the penalties begin

http://www.ameinfo.com/68136.html Looks like the delays in the 380 program are going to start costing Airbus some cash.

    tshirts and whatnot

This IS a classic, I love that logo...which by the way I found through this link: http://freightdawg.us/ You can get a better idea of the what the graphic looks like. I wonder if they could print slogans under the logo, I have a few I'd like to add :)

    Pay raise for Southwest today

Maybe a SWA guy will correct me, but I believe the raise was indexed to profits. I think their section six opener isn't until 2009?

    Boeing 787 Dreamliner Flightdeck!

I hope they can improve the map/worktalbe lights over those in the 777. Such a small item, but it plays a big role int he usability of the at night. Also for security, I wonder if they've ever thought about moving the lavs away from the cockpit door?

New topic to be included in Aviation ground schools.

Did you mean "Writing and speaking...." Imagine that, pilot's being expected to perform at a high school level, it'll never happen. PS. Enjoy the impending feeding frenzy

New York Times-Peak Oil on the horizon?

Maybe under that the header "PEAK OIL" (which is just the name you'd expect from the mainstream media) as Hubbert's Peak Theory just isn't that sexy. Fact is, Hubbert's Theory and "PEAK OIL" are one in the same and have been discussed at least since the oil crisis of the 70's. It IS good to...

Will NWA and the Mechs agree?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of love from IAM AMFA could use all the support they can get from IAM, I wonder if this is NWA propaganda or if it's real? http://forums.airlinepilotcentral.com/showpost.php?p=3116&postcount=4

OOPS!! UAL 747 on it's tail.

From a pretty good source...... ******************************** xxxx said they had a hydraulic problem (transfer I think). The crew brought it back to SFO. That night maintenance crews pinned the landing gear in place so they could raise the gear handle to troubleshoot the problem. The REAL...

    Pay Charts

One of the features I really liked at the old airlinepilotpay.com was the pay rate comparisons. Looks like they took that idea a few steps further and now compare each fleet and seat. They do offer the discalimer that hourly rates are only part of overall compensation, but the rate comparisons...

    Regional Pay Comparisons

Although the pay comparison charts don't reflect that - each airline's pay chart gives the jr. capt. I guess they couldn't find a way to display upgrade time in a meaningful way. Also I read on the APC forum that the charts were only for comparing hourly pay. They admitted that there were...

    Regional Pay Comparisons

Looks like Eagle has a fleet of 251 A/C and Expressjet has a fleet of 245. Not that large of a margin!

Question about Regional Pay via airlinepilotpay.com?

What he said, it's company longevity no matter what seat you're in. That said, there are a few companies that start you back at square one, but not many.

    Regional Pay Comparisons

http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/content/view/140/77/ Looks like APC is pumping out more pay comparison charts.... One question though, doesn't ExpressJet operate EMB 140/145's?

    EMB 140 vs. EMB 145?

Thanks all! I was searching for something else at APC and came accross their "beta" pay comparison project. I couldn't find anything on the site about it so I guess it's not ready for prime-time. There was a pay chart for the EMB145 and the EMB140 along with a few others. Only thing is the...

    EMB 140 vs. EMB 145?

Is there a major difference between these two aircraft? Also, is there a pay difference for those who operate them? Thanks! The RJ illiterate.
