What's the deal with FLOPs? I never see anything about them on the boards. Do they have a MDW base? What are their mins? Would anybody recommend flying for them? What is the schedule like? How do you apply because their website is very application un-friendly.
Thanks!
question-
I live in Chicago, and can't fly to the west coast to do a group interview. Do they have an online application process? It wasn't on their site. Is there somewhere to send a resume? Do they finance travel to the interview if they call you?
Thanks
Anyone know of 135/91 operators looking for pilots at any airport between Milwaukee and Gary? My times are getting there and need to get my resume out. Problem is, I'd like to stay in the area for school.

An inspector from our FSDO came in today and relayed to us the following:
1. Dual VOR checks done on the ground are completely illegal, even if the VOR is on the field (not talking about ground-based checks)
2. All ground instruction -must- be logged in the -logbook-, DPE's will be looking for...
How do you apply for a callsign? Instead of the ol' Tango-November, I would like to be able to use one that gets our name over the airways. Is it an FCC thing? Any help is appreciated.
I heard Milwaukee approach get an emergency call today about 1830z on my way back from Manistique. The crew was on the other approach freq, and I didn't hear much save that it was some kind of hydraulic problem. Anyone know what happened? I think they had the crash trucks out and were preparing...
For us piston drivers out there. A Lancair factory instructor was teaching one of my students to run aggressively lean of peak (100 degrees lean of peak at 85 percent power) with only a single needle-type gauge for CHT. I was under the impression that this can be a dangerous practice without...
I've heard they ask some tough questions on the interview. For example:
1. How do you know you need clearance to shoot an approach just by looking at the approach plate?
2. When do you use a 3:1 descent?
3. Can you fly IFR in class G? How about at night?
Thanks for any help.

I couldn't think of a...
