    You can commute at any US regional, but the policies vary. Some have commuter clauses in their contract providing you with a "get out of jail free" card if you fulfill certain requirements, while others just require you get to work on time al[most]l the time. Not sure what your options are...

    MRY is nice, but prolly expensive, and it would be really nice to have a car. If you can get a decent deal at the crew hotel in SBA they have bikes you can use, which is nice for getting around. Most anywhere besides big cities will be a pain in the butt w/o a car.

    I'm not familiar with the EMB-145.... how could this have happened? might they have confused it with a door handle? Could leaving the anti-ice on overnight solve the problem?

    There was no RFP or bid because there was no new flying. SkyWest is just moving pilots around. FWIW, I'd heard we putting up 50+ people a night in LAX.
