    The price was high, was full of corrosion plus half of the mintenance records were missing or incomplete. Also rumored that the creditors / banks wouldn't move on the price. There are some out there the old man just needs to get them at his price (and we could do with some).

    The word was that after doing an inspection it (ex Jade) was a POS that need millions spent to fix plus a heavy check and the sellers wouldn't budge on the price. Connie is looking and needs the 400's, we'll see.

    The BS of it all is that they have already had to cancel a couple of flights and started begging guy's to stay out longer to cover trips due to no pilot's. They have picked up some extra flying and some more is in the pipeline. Now this lack of staff could also be due that a whole slew are in or...

    Sad day today for many at Kalitta. Displacement / curtailment results posted today, some FE's already furloughed but now total of 35 in all from beginning of Jan '13. FO's to be furloughed is 53 staring Jan '13, many other CA's downgraded. Although not sure if all pilots will go if the rumors...

    OK to clarify, no "official" word of furlough, and yes furlough will only effect the FE's sadly. They can't really do a furlough as you would have to cut deep into the 400 crews based on seniority (most new hires have been to the 400) and they are already short there. Cheaper just to have...
