Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks for your input the other month when I was making a decision on training investment.
I just finished the type a few weeks ago.
The clock has started on how long it takes to get the call WITH the type. I can't wait to find out.

"I'm giving up alot of PIC time with dead legs and it's frustrating to have to log it SIC."
***********************
I'm not sure what you mean by this? What's dead legs have to do with this? I'm assuming that your flying part 135. correct? If so, you would have to be current under part...
I sent the resume via email in Jan. Got the instant reply "if you don't here by mid March send another resume." Emailed a 2nd resume and sent a hard copy via usps. Got an application a few days later and turned it in with an employe letter. No word yet.
Ok, I forgot to mention that on the 15th I emailed an update and also mailed in a hard copy with a letter of rec from an EJA pilot.
Guess what came in the mail today!!!!
Here's what I've received in January:
Dear Pilot applicant,
Due to the large volume of email/resumes/applications/phone calls that we are currently receiving, we are unable to personally respond or verify receipt of your email.
If you receive this, you can be assured that we got your email...
I wonder who came up with 20,000lbs? I've got four type ratings and several thousand hours in turbine aircraft. I have well over 1000hr pic in one specific aircraft that has a max takeoff of 19,300lbs. It's all hydraulic, artifical feel, hits the buzzer at .87mach, I ground- steer with my...
I would like to know the same. I sent them my resume late Jan, haven't heard a thing. Actually I've sent to all and heard from none.

I went to 690 turbo commander recurent in the spring of 2000 at Flight Safety. The had a list of airplanes needing pilots and the lowest paid job was $67,000. a year. I was getting over 80k, but maybe that was too much being now the owner can't pay for fuel any more and I'm out of work. In...
RichO,
With the silver bullet, you have a good chance of getting a call. After that it's up to you to pass the sim. Pilots with over 6000 hours have failed, and pilots with just over the mins have passed. There's no magic number. Just pass the sim and fly well because you will talk about...
For sim training you pay for the room and then expense it back to the company....you are also being paid perdem. Not sure how long the falcon prgram is, but im guessing two weeks.
every sim pairing gets one rental car for the sim, which is also paid by you and then expensed back. Indoc on the...
Highflyer, are you a new hire and placed in the Falcon 2000?
I sent in a e-resume in Jan, a letter to George Lusk last week, and I'm planning a phone call on Monday to try to get in.
Can someone answer a few question?
1. It sound like you pay for you room during training? How many days?
2...
I sent my email resume in on 1-25-02. Recieved the following note on 1/25/01:
"Dear Pilot applicant,

Delta, American, United were some of the common ones a year ago.
Hilton and Marriott were common Hotels.
I don't have anything current.
But sign up for every program out there.
I've jumpseated numberous times on Delta, Americawest, Northwest....all prior 9-11.
Always personal travel. I was even asked by a flight crew where/what/why I was traveling (making sure I wasn't saving my employer $$ by riding free).
Our 135 company had no arrangments with any airline, but we...
I'm at the other end of the flight, Hillsboro OR: HIO.
They generally park it at night at Global Aviation which is a some what private facility.
Nice plane, but thinking about flying between only two airports..... it would be something a pilot would have to take in consideration. To me it...
Does anyone have current numbers for how many pilots SWA plans to hire in 2002? Have they defered some of their deliveries during this economic slump?
I was considering a 737 type rating course, but I'd like to get the lastest hiring numbers before making the investment.
Thanks
