    West Coast Charter $$

Gulfstream 200 is pretty accurate, except for the pay which I wont discuss here. However, you get hired into the King Airs. If you are in the right place at the right time a jet position may or may not open up. Definitely no direct link from King Airs to Jets. If anyone has any questions I...

Any Piston Or Turbine Dc-3 Operators In The Lower 48?

Baja Air...I think out of Gillespie or San Diego operates a DC-3T

    Central Air down near KC

If anyone knows of the funeral / memorial service for Murray Brown, please PM me. Murray was a ray of hope in the Freight business, and a very competent instructor and mentor for me. He gave me a tough, but fun check-ride, that challenged me to the core, when I was a low time wannabe pilot...

    299 line check

Very good. I log SIC time, when flying with a senior captain, and put PF or PNF in the comment section...because I'm the SIC, and I'm not making the decisions. The PF/PNF shows when I'm flying/manipulating the controls, vs your Pretending I'm in Charge time.

    Sick...

After a couple thousand hours of piston time, you'll have stories of how things broke, how you dealt with it. You'll look outside for traffic when it's called, not inside at your TCAS. Turbines rarely break = complacent pilot.

    Sacramento, CA

A company in Lincoln, CA...a few miles north of Sacramento, might be hiring into Senecas or King Airs... What sort of times does your friend have? XO Jet might be tricky if your friend has no time in type.

    FA needs some help.

If her company has an ASAP, have her file a report. If not, have her file an ASRS...If the company can't recognize when an employee is not fit for work, for whatever reason (fatigue, sick, personal), it's not the employee's fault. The company shouldn't discipline the employee for taking the...

    Safety Management System

http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aviation/risk_management/ss_handbook/ This has how the FAA recommends the Safety Management System to be laid out. It's quite technical in parts. You can download the parts you need in pdf format.

    Logging SIC

Legally - the FAA gives a damn if you are logging SIC time towards a certificate or rating - ie ATP. You can log SIC time in a King Air 350 under part 91 under a few limited conditions. The 350 is a different animal to the CE-525, and shouldn't be confused. The 350 differs from the 525 as...

    Logging SIC

CJ type data certificate lists minimum crew as one pilot - therefore the CE-525s type rating - however, this does not rule out flying with an SIC, trained in accordance with 61.55. Whether or not the PIC has an ATP is irrelevent for Part 91 ops. ATPs can instruct pilots in Part 121/135 ops...

    Captain questions

Drunk Captain? - Ask if the captain feels off color Suggest maybe the captain should call in sick If the captain doesnt call in sick, then use a sick day to stop the flight Bottom line...stop the flight. There is a lot of time, and a lot of methods available to stop the flight. Captain below...

    Central Air Southwest

JT was the Chief Pilot for as long as I was there (12/04-04/06), and Murray was the Director of Operations.

    Central Air Southwest Question

I did, actually a little more than that, and I lived in a 2 bedroom house. Do it. The company's been around a long time, and JT knows lots of people who can help you move on when you've met your contract obligation. They helped with my ATP - let me use one of their airplanes - and gave me a...

    West Coast Charters

Don't come on here much anymore, but everything that has been said by B350Capt is on the money. I fly the line, upgraded after 3 months, so still pretty junior, and have been averaging 8-9 RONs a month in the past 3 months. Don't have records prior to that readily available. It's worth...

Air Ambulance company out of New Braunfels Texas

I don't know the exact schedule, in terms of days worked and days off, but when you are scheduled to work, you go on duty for 12 hours and then off duty for 12 hours, so there's no 24/7 on call (like some other air ambulence places)...

Air Ambulance company out of New Braunfels Texas

Joe McCart is the president of the company, and it's called Air-Medical. When I interviewed there, they had one very nice Diamond Jet, and one Cheyenne IA. The interview was informal, and I left with a good impression. They were looking for a long term commitment. I can't remember if there...

Well they aren't the only FBO out there that discriminates against cargo pilots in this way.

Low time pilot for a pilot job...

Sounds like you bought time in a Beech 99 with Ameriflight, and went to interview for a position, probably in West Texas...now is it Midland, or Lubbock???
