    Southwest Pilot Recruiter Speaks

Yes, but now at least you have a job offer before ponying up 8g's. That's a much better deal in my estimation. Up until just a few months ago, you couldn't even get an interview without first paying some type rating outfit half a year's salary.

    Southwest Pilot Recruiter Speaks

It looks like the pool of 737 typed applicants is drying up. I'm glad they've opened up their interviews to those without the rating.

    Airtran Contract status

If you check the current going rates for the 737 NG you'll see that the Airtran folks are paid lower than any other major airline, ESPECIALLY the first officers. See for yourself www.airlinepilotcentral.com/content/view/149/91/ ,,,and notice the big gap between Airtran and the leading LCC...

I agree with pilot877, check out AirlinePilotCentral.com. So far their info is free. It's not a job site per se, but offers links and general hiring info.

    Airbus or Boeing

Airbus: aesthetically ugly, especially the A300 and A380. Ugliest cockpit windows are found on the Airbus products. Boeing: sexy lines and sleek form. Pleasing on the eye to look at.
