Good post, Boiler.
I would personally like to know how SkyWest intends to make good on their lowball CPA. Through economies of scale?? I think not. By replacing XJT pilots with lower paid SkyWest pilots or, god forbid, a B-scale contract? That sounds more like it.
Jeez your grammar sucks. It should be: "Where r u newbies getting based at?"
But kudos for ending your sentence with a preposition...all hope is not lost for.
I hear that new hires go to the new bases like SAT, ONT, and LAX. There is a TDY for SAT and LAX.
What makes you think XJT is working below cost? As far as I know, DL is getting the same rate that CO gets. If that were the case, then all of our flying would be operated at a loss.
Good pilot group, yes. Strong...maybe. What are you going to do about the company trying to terminate your vacations for the year? Upgrading out of seniority order? They are blatantly attempting to violate your contract to cover up their own incompetence and I hope you won't allow it. Just the...
It appears the United is really the one that dropped the ball on this one. But employees of RAH will be the first to admit that things are starting to unravel, and the company's inadequacies are showing (in a very public way, no less). It is a big company with a small-company infrastructure...
After your interview, see if you can leave your current position early and remain in good standing. If yes, go to XJT. If no, turn down the class date. Never burn any bridges in this industry.
Interview dates to select from were July 11, 18, and 21. The email went out on the 10th so I'm not sure how they would be able to get out all the papers in time for a July 11 interview...even for the 18th seems a bit close.
I got the same email and replied to it. No response yet so I'm hoping there is something coming in the mail. I don't think we should be expecting a questionnaire, though, since that new system has us answer all those questions on our initial application. So keep your fingers crossed for a...
there are better options out there. PRK is old school.
LASIK is much better. Wavefront technology and LADAR make it more accurate than ever. I had LASIK a couple of years ago and was very happy with the results. My vision has changed a little since then (I might need glasses for my next...
Hey guys....hoping someone can help out a little.
I'm going to be LGA based for a little while and trying to figure out how to commute to the airport. Specifically, i'm looking for tips on getting from 30th and 10th in Manhattan to LGA, and from Valley Stream to LGA. Any advice is greatly...
sorry dude...check the regs...61.39 applies to most practical test applicants, including CFI. This is the most often ignored of endorsements and the FAA is cracking down, at least here in Orlando.
As for this guy providing training to his friend...I think it would be a good learning...
last 3 hours refers to the 61.39 "60 day" endorsement which is required for a practical exam. I'm pretty sure he could give most of the training but can't give any signoffs. Check with the FSDO for the final word.
