CP calls for 12 Apr have begun.

THE CALL I also recieved the call this morning. The second sentence out of his mouth was "we have postponed some classes..." After I caught my breath, he let me down easy and told me was just kidding. I still have an uneasy feeling in my gut, but that will pass. Congrats to everyone...

    More unprofessional AMR pilot behavior

Dizel8 - I knew the use of the "p" word (persecution) would get a response. I mainly posted that in response to the more viloent responses that have been posted on this thread. I know they are just typing, but who knows how serious they are? Maybe those posts are there just to get tempers...

    More unprofessional AMR pilot behavior

Nathan Jesup.. Thanks for your posts. I wish I could express my thoughts half as well as you have done. As for some of you who disagree, why get so angry? You have your beliefs, and I am sure you think they are correct. Why can't Christians have their beliefs and also think they are...

    More unprofessional AMR pilot behavior

I do not see how any one was forced to raise their hand. I do not see how this is so terrible; that the captain should be punished. Why can't someone bring up a topic and let the "audience" determine if they will participate in the converstion. I agree, it might not be the thing to do, make...

    SWA Interview Prep

Some of you are really hard on Craig here. I wonder how many of you who calim that he is taking advantage of a situation have given money to kit darby? I did not use a pay service to help me prep: but I did talk to active SWA employees to help calm my nerves. Chase was one of them...

    SWA Letters for online app?

Larry, Curly and Moe, Those guys were not only my heroes but they were also Jewish, According to Adam Sandler! I reference the Hanukkah Song palyed so many times this past Holiday Season on one of our local radio stations.

    SWA yearly block time

if you guys and gals are not careful you will have the whole country crying for our pay cuts. Even more than the industry as a whole has taken. I like to figure my pay rate looking at how much time I am away from my family. So sitting reserve and flying 10 hours a month does not mean my...

    Sneak Preview UAIR EMB 170

HS - I do not even pay attention to J4J except what I might get in the mail, or what a buddy might tell me he /she heard.

    Sneak Preview UAIR EMB 170

Mr. Hat - I am furloughed from USAir and couldn't agree with you more. They wasted a lot of leverage getting those J4jobs deals going. I was once asked at a lec meeting (after I had been furloughed for four months) if I liked the J4jobs program and did I as a furloughed pilot want people to...

Deregulation delivered low costs at a price

Deregualtion and Cabatoge Something to think about. Sure deregualtion has had mixed blessings. Now we may see what round 2 does for the everyday employees. Cabatoge in the US. This might bring lower prices yet for the consumer, but in the long run lower wages for the employees. You can...

    Why aren't Aviators running airlines

Saabstory - "Read this board for awhile...most of us can't even spell let alone run an airline." That is an xcelnt obsurvation and it made me laugh out loud! mike

Furloughees gettin a 737 type via WIA

I went to HPA Dec 2001 thru Jan 2002 (Happy New Year). Great People, Great Place. If the state will not allow you to get a 737 type try for a biz jet. You may need an employeer to commit to a job after getting the type. Good leverage for the employeer to hire you over the other guy and even...

    SWA Pool numbers shifted???

Coop- I did think it was funny and tried to add a little humor. I guess that did not work. No apology needed! Was fingerprinted today at MDW. No new news, except that they are putting up some halloween decorations. man-down

    SWA Pool numbers shifted???

Coop - That hurts! Plus it is a little useasy to think about. Since the interview and decision board, so much time has passed and many things (for me anyway) have happened, but it still seems like only a month ago. I am just going to get my fingerprints done tomorrow (9-29). I do not like...

    Evergreen International Airlines

rapidD, Sorry I did not answer your question sooner. I was out of town for ground school. It was slow. Now sim is almost over and I feel bad about keeping you hanging out there. I do not know how they place people in the aircraft. Some people with more time and expericnce went to the 747...

    Evergreen International Airlines
