Well the Primus 1000 that's in it now is about 20 years old. A lot has improved since then. It currently is way behind it's competitors when it comes to avionics.
"wealthy suburban home in NY, Chicago, etc."? I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about pilots, I must have misunderstood.
Now everyone has their own idea of retirement, but personally, I'm not banking on "cashing in" a bunch of home equity to allow me to retire. For one, while home value...
Anybody know where I can get a current and usable PDF version of the FAR/AIM? I specifically need 61,91 and the AIM.
We are trying to load documents on our EFB's so that we no longer need to carry paper versions.
Thanks.
I flew air medical PC-12's with Bud Summerfield almost 10 years ago. While I did not fly with him personally, he was a base manager and had a reputation for being a good stick, conservative and very knowledgeable. In an industry rampant with cowboys he was decidedly not a cowboy. He took a great...
There are many other SB's and mods as well but the /45 stands for 4500 kilograms (9921 lbs) max T.O. weight. It is more than paperwork though because the airspeed indicators needed to be remarked and i believe the AOA needed to be set up differently in addition to the POH supplement. I dont...
Well, i have seen a couple people lose their lives in airplanes, seen a couple more almost do it, and known a few more that lost their lives in airplanes (including my first instructor who was a friend also) while i wasnt present. Maybe i'm a sick **** but i was amused by the video.
I have gotten on AW and Mesa post 9/11 a few times with no refusals. Just smile at the gate agent and be friendly ;)
As far as getting through security, i havent had one actually inspect my ID badge, but i always look the part in the monkey suit which does wonders.
you guys are giving me a headache. When i take a checkride, the examiner is always right, no matter (almost) what. So, if you do what the examiner says, and the examiner is smoking crack, and the FAA somehow finds out that you logged 1.2 PIC or flew one flight in IMC during a checkride that...
I get to use "lifeguard" every day as i work for an air ambulance company now. I feel that it's warranted for eyeballs and and any other organ. Calling lifeguard may move you to the front of the line but ATC wont clear all paths for you just because you are lifeguard. They are very good about...
MY GOD MAN! HOW THE H*** COULD YOU LOSE SOMETHING LIKE THAT? ARE YOU OK? MAYBE YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR.
I think i need to be given this information too, just for safekeeping of course! :D
Well, you have a good point ClassG. I have no idea how many hours my DC's have on them, they were old when i got them years ago for free. I really cant fault them, recently the right ear started cutting out from a wire broken internally but they have led a long, hard life.
How long does the...
My .02
Aeronca Champ (or chief)-
Good little planes, just not quite a cub.
Cessna 120/140- Great little planes, especially the 140a with the newer wing but those usually bring more money.
Luscombe- Fun, aerobatic, strong, cool wing construction with almost no full ribs if i remember right...
Thanks Larry,
Does the telex seem like pretty good construction quality to you? I have heard some negative things about the lightspeeds coming apart and DCs always seem to last.
