Just a note. This forum is being run by the same people who run CAL Forums. At the current time, only UAL pilots are allowed access, and registration / use is free. Eventually CAL Forums and UAL Forums will be blended in to one forum - UAL Forums. This will most likely...
If there are any AA American pilots, please send me a Private Message via the forum. I'm a pilot for Continental and I have a few questions about APA.
Thanks in advance.
I jumpseat on you guys occasionally. Last time I was riding, the captain told me they were going to only 3 flight attendants on all A320 flights, and that there would be 3 cabin jumpseats available in the back. And there would also be the 2 up front. So 5 total available?
Can anyone clarify...
I'm looking at doing some international traveling end of this year and early next year. I was wondering which cargo carriers were able to carry a CASS approved jumpseater internationally? I also have a question about whether I would have to pay departure/arrival taxes for leaving and coming to...
I was just curious, does JetBlue have JFK crews also cover EWR with trips starting and ending there?
Do you guys still allow everyone on your jumpseat like FAs, rampers, and gate agents?
I tried posting this earlier, but I think it got dumped when the Flightinfo server crashed.
I was curious which major airlines allowed pilots to accrue longevity towards pay while out on furlough? AA, UAL, US Air, CAL, NWA, Delta....
My friend at Delta was out for 3 years, and when he came...
Could some Fedex pilots please help me with this one- Is parking available at the Fedex outstations so that you could leave your car there for a few days?
How early should you be there before a flight and what is the procedure for getting security screened?
My friend at AirTran was telling me that they opened up a mini crew base in MCO.
Can anyone give a little more info on that? Equipment type, seniority, future plans/expansion, etc.
Did anyone interview at Continental this week and fly the sim? Please Private Message me if you did.
It would be very much appreciated! Doing the sim next week.
I just got a call from Continental for an interview. Can anyone please Private Message me or reply for any gouge.
THE BEERS WILL BE ON ME!!! MANY THANKS!
I'm thinking about buying one of those portable "spare air" bottles for SCUBA diving.
The TSA requires you to drain them completely, and unscrew the top so it can be visually inspected inside.
I realize that you are supposed to keep a little bit of air pressure inside all the time to keep...
AirTran online application problems
I spent several long hours doing my application on the AirTran.com website. After submitting it, I wanted to update it, so I withdrew the application in order to update. Now it's completely gone and it erased my entire profile.
Has anyone else had this...
For my uniform shoes, I've owned two pairs of Ecco shoes, and they are probably the most comfortable shoe that I have ever worn. But both pairs were around $220. Really pricey. But before I started wearing the Eccos, I had a Rockport and a Bostonian, and both of them were not very...
Has anyone used polarized sunglasses in the CRJ?
I don't think the CRT's will be a problem, because I don't think that they are polarized like your typical LCD displays (cell phones, etc), and the angle on the CRT displays is not very great, unless looking over at the other pilot's displays...
Take a pilot who has a typical B-Fund retirement, approx 10 - 12%. That pilot works for 30 years.
Now take another pilot who works at the same airline with an A-Fund retirement and works 30 years, then gets approx. 65% of Final Average Earnings (FAE).
Who do you think will do better?
It...
