If you commute on SWA ....

Of course it does. It is all about unilaterally taking away benefits. That is why I said you would have to be a sap to give up a positive space DH seat (for the jumpseat) for a revenue pax. Some of these coolaid drinkers on here don't get it.

If you commute on SWA ....

Hey Sh!t for brains, my company afforded you the oportunity of multiple jumpseats long before SWA changed it's policy on the matter. AWA had a very liberal jumpseat policy long before most other airlines in this industry. In the past, I was bumped more than once from a half empty SWA airplane...

    British Airways operating IAH-DTW??? WTF?

As long as they don't carry originating revenue pax between those two points it's OK.

If you commute on SWA ....

Are they actually going to make you guys sit in the back if there are empty seats? That blows. Best of luck to you guys. You are always welcome on my jumpseat no matter what your company's policy is.

If you commute on SWA ....

SWA had the best jumpseat in the business. It is sad to see this happen. They have always treated me like family. The problem is with the ridiculous TSA rule that does not allow offline jumpseaters to sit in the flightdeck when there are empty seats in back. Why is it that it is "safe" to have a...

Updated AA D6U (Unlimited) J/S list

I'm not going to start a JS war. I will take as many jumpseaters (including AA) as I have seats on the aircraft. I'm just tired of other pilot groups like AA giving AWA no respect. No airline out there has treated offline jumpseaters better over the years than AWA...no one. My apologies to...

Updated AA D6U (Unlimited) J/S list

Unbelievable! AWA has not only given multiple jumpseats to AA for years, but we even gave AA jumpseats when you guys didn't even take jumpseaters. My Airbus has two cockpit jumpseats and if an AA guy is the third to show up he aint gettin' on. I don't care if there are 150 empty seats in the...

AWA CASS this Tuesday, Aug 16

    Awa - Cass?!

SWA /FO: I know that most of our gate agents are a-holes (for that I apologize). I commute and AWA gate agents treat me with the same disrespect as you received. I am also aware that we don't have CASS yet. Please don't hold this against the AWA pilots. Remember, AWA was giving multi-jumpseats...

    No PIC turbine for SWA?

That's why they crash airplanes and kill a couple of hundred people every few years. P.S. To answer your original question: No Southwest won't hire you with 0 PIC turbine. Why should they.

    AWA App to Interview?

Yes there is a commuter policy. Give yourself two AWA or AWA Express flights and your covered. About 40% of our pilots commute. I have been commuting from the LA area for 8 1/2 years and it is very easy. Longer commutes or off line might be more difficult.

    Parking At Lax

You do not ride the "Lot C" bus for "Lot D". "Lot D" has its own bus that picks up and drops off on the upper level only. The bus runs every 7 to 8 min. 24 hours a day. The lot is located just east of Sepulveda on Weschester Parkway across the street from the back entrance to "Lot C". The...
