As best as I can tell, Pt. 121/ 135 operators cannot request information FROM a Pt. 91 operator. Does anyone have any experience in this matter?
Thanks!
Does anyone have any leads on a decent electric tug that would move a Challenger/ Global? I'm not really looking for new, but if that's my only option I can arrange that. Any advice on brands would also be appreciated. Thanks!
For those flying "glass" airplanes using GPS and/or IRU's, do yo perform VOR checks? I'm of the opinion that it's required as we list it on our equipment suffix(s) and the FMS(s) use information from the VOR's. I can't find anything in writing to support my position, any help? Thanks!
If you overnight your aircraft at a field without 24 hour security, what precautions (if any) do you take? We are going into a field that does not even have adequate means to keep the locals off the ramp/runways. Would you consider hiring a security firm to watch the jet?
Maybe I'm paranoid???
Probably one of the best pt. 91 flight departments (for pilots at least), is looking for a 604 mechanic. Any help finding the right person would be appreciated. If a great location, and a low key operation is what a person is looking for, this would be a dream job.
Since an unnamed manufacturer (Piaggio) can't stick to a delivery schedule, we've been thinking of an alternative. The budget is around 7 million and would probably result in a second aircraft purchase of the same type. The difficult part so far has been to find a bird that has a similar size...
Noticed on final into LAS that the Venetian 767 was hidden by a larger jet this morning. Low and behold it looks like they have a new (to them) L1011. Must be one incredible flight department L1011, 767-300, BBJ, and probably some "small" G planes or Falcons.
Does anyone have any opinions of this AC? I've read a bit of the Avantair reviews and it seems like a good plane. Also, any idea what a pt.91 pay rate would be for the Piaggio? Thanks for the help.....
Was deadheading on my airline yesterday when a guy with a heavy German accent introduced himself to me. The guy was in uniform and started to tell me that he flies a GIV for Airnet in their charter division. I really did'nt pay that much attention until he wanted to ride in the jumpseat, which I...
I'm trying to figure out how to get out of CUN. I can ride in the actual going down but not back as per TSA. Does Frontier allow offlines in the FA jumpseat? I figure I could try about every airline just to get back into the states, but I would really like to make it to DEN. Any advice?
