Any JetBlue new hires wanting LGB???

No classified stuff here. Just some personal family issues that I didn't feel needed to be shared with the masses. Bottom line, those going to class hoping for LGB as an initial assignment should contact me.

    Next open house for JetBlue?

If you really want to stick out, wear a bright yellow shirt. You'll see every shade of blue when you go there. :) But definatley keep it casual. Definately bring all of your stuff. I don't think that they have interviewed at the last few open houses, but when I did it, by the time I was done I...

Have you been hired by ASA?

But if you are going to ASA, which I'm sure that there are still guys out there that are applying and getting hired, then DO PM me so I can off-load some of my ASA memorabilia. Mind you, I'm not talking about sweat soaked, yellow stained shirts here. Due to my relatively short stay...

    JB Mins

While not the norm, it can happen and did as recently as April. If you are strong enough in the other categories, i.e., glass, large turbine aircraft, 121 time, etc., and have some B6 friends in your corner, you can get by without the 1k of turbine PIC. Great place to work. Good luck.

    Who's in Jetblue's August 29th class?

And don't forget the managers reception on...what was it...Tuesday night. Salad, pasta, rolls, soup. Not just appetizers. Overall a pretty nice set up as far as a place to stay during training. Shuttle to the grocery store and a room with a two element stove, microwave, full-sized fridge...

Have you been hired by ASA?

I don't know if ASA is still hiring but I would imagine that they are given the movement in the industry right now. If you have been hired by ASA and are interested in saving some money on your uniform purchase, give me a call. After a somewhat brief stay at ASA, I have some items I'd like...

Jetblue Question. QOL A320 vs E190

I went through about 4 months ago. When the call came, you were given a class date for a specific aircraft. It is my understanding that you no longer could choose which aircraft, nor could you wait for another class for a desired aircraft type. Welcome to B6.

Thanks For another Cool Open House Jet Blue!

I was pulled up for the whole nine yards. It was a nice show and more refined from the first one that they did. Anyone have a rough idea of how many people were invited to go upstairs and interview? Overall, well worth the time and effort of going down. Now just waiting for the phone to...

Give up your Vacation @ ASA!!!

Until pilots quit fixing management's problems, there will be no change. And people wonder why negotiations are at 4+ years. I love flying with guys that b!tch about management and the pace of negotiations in one breath, and then tell about all the extra time they picked up with the next...

    Commercial flight time?

I think the question he is asking is whether or not it would be commercial time and thus affect 30/7, 100 in a month, etc. It is a good question. My take on it is that if you aren't being paid for it, then it's not commercail flying and doesn't count against your totals. If this isn't the...

Can they schedule me for 99.25 hrs from feb1 to mar1?

Page 2-3 of the contract defines what is considered to be a month. It says that for pay and scheduling purposes, Jan 31 - March 1 is considered the "month". Like Long said, make sure it is block and not credit.

    ATP Written

I'm by no means a reg guru, so I ask this out of pure curiousity and sincerely want to know the truth. So, I take my written right after I got hired at XYZ airlines. I work there for 4 years as a first officer. I get furloughed and don't fly for 5 years. I then get hired by ABC airlines and...

    ATP Written

However, if you get hired at 121 carrier, go beyond the two year time frame, and then get hired at another 121 carrier, it becomes no good. The extension is good only at the 121 carrier under whom it expired. Anyway, that is how I understand it. I heard of quite a few Indy guys that got burned...

    ASA at LAX

Regarding this, since I've been away for a while (but not long enough), what's with this...are they running the 700 through SLC to LAX. I would imagine management is just hoping that we buy off of the dual qualled thing so they can run them both out of there. 1.16 Hola Manzanillo...

    ASA at LAX

Ok, back on point. I've posted a couple of times asking if anyone knew of any crashpads and never got a reply. Since I'll be coming off of LOA shortly and will need one down there, this isn't good news. Cfi greg, if you get any good leads, mind PMing me? I'd appreciate it. I hate the...

    ASA A little short

Mesa pilot's cry that JO had them between a rock and a hard spot...which was true. The point that is rarely made is you guys got yourself there through a series of below par contracts, where you have always been at the bottom of the barrel. You got yourselves there through lack of good...

    ASA A little short

Let me echo what a few others have already said. DON'T pick up open time. Try and see past the extra few bucks and realize that all you are doing by picking up open time is voluntarily fixing the problems of inept management...again. They created the problem, now let them sweat it out.
