Was it SWA? That was probably me. Too casual for your taste?
Ever think some of us get a a little tired of the Kernals out there sounding like complete dildos?
If there's anything my 12000 hours of 121 has taught me, it's the more FM/AIM scripture a pilot quotes, the scarier he/she is to fly...
Saw UAL in MAF today, and AA flies to LBB regularly. Personally, I'd fly my 737 to LBB every day for the pay and bennies I get. Plus I don't have to fly with you.
You really are an idiot.
Lack of fees is the difference for many of our customers. What's an "obvious" revenue generator in the eyes of some separates us from the pack. Just ask your frequent flyers.
Always a sap willing to pay too much.
The worst part is PSA has drawn up a blueprint for managements to deal with contracts. Did any other work groups sign deals to get airplanes? No. Pay caps for flight attendants? Increased health care costs for rampers? They dangle them in front of the...
My class was split between PHX, OAK and LAS. Some have already gotten MDW. DAL has had some vacancies and Jan hires have already gotten it. The schedule changes in Oct/Nov will likely bring a lot more openings for both seats.
I'm a new hire and didn't even get OAK. I would think you could get off RSV there fairly quickly.
There are still hundreds of AT pilots to transition, so that will slow movement for a year or so.
What people fail to comprehend about SWA is the potential for international growth. Once the...
Lastest bid award (May) shows junior DAL FO as a 22JAN14 hire.
Hardly "years."
Wright Amendment goes away in 190ish days and they'll be adding quite a few to cover the increased flying.
My recent class was awarded LAS, PHX and OAK. Depends on your seniority in class. By age.
"Not if you establish the estimation that probably 95% of the pilots looking for jobs have college degrees. That assumption would support the non-degreed pilot having an advantage at SWA. If someone has better numbers, please chime in."
You do realize that the 5% are the top 5% of all...
Well the one I'm in currently (all new hires) ranges from 33-46 with a slight majority below 40.
Don't think it really matters though. SWA just looks for well qualified and easy to get along with.

$410. Not as cheap as they used to be, but they're custom fitted. Perrone makes the company approved version. It's $400-410 too.
Please don't gloss over this like it was nothing. This was a massive misuse of funds collected from the paychecks of those who they were supposed to be representing.
ALPA national stepped in only when confronted with damning evidence that was compiled by volunteers using their own time. Even...
Applications for the current round of hiring topped 6000. They're hiring ~260. When they have 500 apps, and they need 1000, we'll see about the type rating. Personally, I think it was a great investment in my career, and will surely have a greater ROI than putting it in the market. Plus, it's a...
I get the point you're trying to make, and I realize arguing with someone that's posted on a forum 20K times is pointless, but SWA does NOT require PFT. In fact, they pay you over $1200 a week while in training.
What they require is a type rating. A rating which many people get through...
