    passport renewal....

I would make an appointment here: Philadelphia Passport Office U.S. Customs House 200 Chestnut Street Room 103 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19106-2970 Public Inquiries: 215-597-7480* And get the same day service. A letter from your airline stating that you need it ASAP would help. Get extra...

SWA to have a Q1 loss?

They are stories that go around with little or no factual basis, but that's not important right now.

If you can get employee parking, you also get one free month per year. Since I got booted, I use ParkEZFly also.

Kalitta goes to HNL from LAX. Plenty of room for your board, and you'll get a bunk too.

    Overseas Credit Cards

No problems with USAA either. Just got the Chase Priority Club card, it seems to be working well so far. No foreign transaction charges, which puts me ahead even with the annual fee, which is waived the first year. Also two free nights when you get the card, and one night a year after that...

Kalitta Hiring - What's the Status?

Until they get another job. Seriously, reserve isn't necessarily junior. Even if you get a "line," chances are you will be pulled off it in the first few days. Most guys just bid for days off.

747 Splits in Two on T/O

Well then, let's just tell the NTSB that they can pack up and go home. You seem to have it all figured out already. Seriously, you may not like the guy, but do you really need to gloat about what could be his darkest hour? (and I hope will not???) I suppose your feces will always be...

    Kalitta Interviewing?

The 747 side was interviewing in March. The -400 class started this week, and I think there is a -200 class this week too. Don't know when the next class is. Don't know about K2 or Charters either.

    Q's about Kalitta

RJSlim 1. All flights are catered. Quality varies, but overall I think it's pretty good. 2 + 3. You can do laundry or get it done nearly everywhere we go, so I don't carry much. In the summer when I'm wearing the same shorts and t-shirt pretty much every day, the small PrettyNeat bag...

    Odd question

I read or heard somewhere that the air inside a 747 weighs about a thousand pounds. I did some googling and found this: 1 cubic foot of air at standard temperature and pressure assuming average composition weighs approximately 0.0807 lbs. So, a little math and you'll have your answer. I...

    Kalitta New Hire

BUFF, You get paid training pay (600/wk under the new contract) until you finish OE, even if they leave you sitting at home. LOFT is Line Oriented Flight Training. It's the sim after your checkride. Not so much an EP sim like the checkride, but more of a normal flight with a few...
