    Colgan Schedule

This takes many at Colgan far too long to learn. While on duty, never call and try to solve problems. Pick up your phone when they call you. When you're done, check out with crew scheduling and don't pick up your phone until show time. Case closed. Just do a good job while ON DUTY and you'll...

Comair pilots almost took wrong plane

You have a relationship with Jesus? Well I have a relationship with Jesus too, and the next time I see him, he's got a lot of explaining to do.

My prayers are with you, your families and loved ones.

    Crew hotels in Las Vegas

How much do two 18 year-old whores cost if you show them your airline ID? What if you are still in ground school and don't have your ID yet? Can you say regional airline forum?

    Colgan Per Diem?

There's nothing like thinking you've bought a ticket on USAirways, walking out to a red white and blue C model with 43,000 cycles on it, and a pilot is smiling with a chew in at the bottom of the steps. That pretty much sums up Colgan.

    Colgan Per Diem?

Remember that the Beech 1900 FO is the FA, so those who have been in that role know more about an FA's job than most. And on the pilot side, those that flew the 1900 are the best sticks I know.

Air Wisconsin pilots turn down pay cuts for 3rd time.

Bravo Air Wisconsin. Any pilot group that decides to screw future hires with a B-scale deserves to be screwed over themselves. It's management's dream come true to have a truly divided pilot group.

    Colgan to get Q-400's

I talked to Mikey yesterday, and he said Colgan just purchased its first 737-200: http://www.aso.com/aircraft/45653/ext-1.jpg They will initially use it on the PQI-BOS run, transporting obese Mainers and French Canadians. All the PQI crews will be going to the sim at the end of June. I...

    Colgan to get Q-400's

Doesn't one of the Colgans own a dance studio in Wakeman Court? Surely they teach it there.

    Here's to you Turbo-Prop Man.....

Boston visual 4L in the Beech or Saab, racing a Virgin 747-400 coming in on the ILS 4R. So much fun to pass them at the marker going 60 kts faster.

    Great PA from a Capt.

At Colgan we have a lot of EAS routes. I like to say, "I know you have no choice in airlines, but thanks for flying with us anyway."

    Any colgan guys out there?

Anyone that hasn't landed a 7-MEL Beech 1900 in -FZRA, vis 1/2, runway 5000', 20 knot x-wind, 10 knots on the tail, braking action "poor" with a chew buzz on is a big sissy.

    Regions Air Started S340

With Colgan you have the Holy Trinity of customer satisfaction. You have to give Continental credit.

Smiling Paul? Oh no, far worse...

Probably does. You have to be a trust-funder these days to be a regional FO.

    Bad IOE experience

I have talked to numerous FOs at Colgan over the years that have had terrible IOE experiences. Captains yelling at them for doing things "incorrectly" even though they had never been taught the "correct" way. Captains expecting 1000-hour wonders on IOE day 1 to handle getting dumped on an...

    Quetion about upgrading

It's actually a fairly poor indicator when deciding which airline to work for, though perhaps more relevant at the regional level where you're concerned about the eclipsing the poverty line. Four years ago who would have thought that Colgan would have 50 airplanes? Or that Comair and Mesaba...

    Commutair finally going "big time"!

That happened to me on a lesser scale. I got a stall fail warning while #3 for departure, I look down and there is a ramper with fireplace gloves on running away with one of my AOA vanes.

    Colgan

They never miss an opportunity to take money out of the pilots' pockets. It's how they "increase efficiency".

Blue Angel joy ride with reporter if you are bored.

Thanks. Laughed out loud. Just seeing that guys eyes roll back in his head three times is priceless.
