Anyone who is flying for Republic...

This happens quite often on the republic side. They cancel a flight then refuse the hotel room on the basis that it was not a "scheduled" layover but a non normal ops event. This happen to me, I argued the case to no avail. Next time I had them fax me a copy of the new schedule, just for...

Republic J4J need some info please.

Hi all. If there are any of the Republic J4J folks on here I would appreciate a PM for some info. Got a hard choice here that just came up and I would like some more info beyond the published stuff from AAA that only a J4J guy can probably answer. Thanks in advance.

    Republic Questions

Can anybody give me info on the lines, both reserve and blockholder on the 170, and their commutibility? Which base seems to be the easiest for a commute, IND, DCA, or PIT? Also I know guarantee is 75 hours, what is the average flown a month for reserve?...Line holders? Anybody have...

Question for US Air and AWA Pilots

Any idea what the results were of the ALPA survey from last month about how many of us would return? I know a lot of us have been back and forth over the last few years, I had planned on passing on the 190 stuff, but a fresh furlough from my freight outfit changed that. I know of a fairly...

    Ferry/Contract work

Sadly I am not current on either. Been F/O ing on the 747 for the past couple of years. I managed and flew both the 550 (Bravo) and PC-12 though. I have a good amount of PIC in both. Would be interested in any leads you might have. Located in NC. Thanks.

    Polar/Atlas Recruiting

The D is Denise. Hiring has stopped at this time for both side though. Of course that could change next week! Last press release said that both sides were fully staffed for now and barring unforseen attrition no hiring for a while.

    Citation gig...

You need to find another insurance guy. I was covered no problem for SP ops in a Citation with zero time in them three years ago. Did the Type ride in the sim, did the SP ride in the airplane. I picked up the plane from the factory and had a grand total of 1.6 hours in the airplane and...

    Polar/Atlas - Objective Truth

You or I do not really know what happened then. Polar boys have their side, Atlas guys have theirs. Truth is probably in the middle. That is all I said. As far as attacking you on the other thread, You were presenting yourself as a long time Atlas guy and putting a serious bashing on Polar...

    Polar/Atlas - Objective Truth

It should be noted that Bman has the exact same hire date I do. (Very Very Junior.) His version of the events 3 years ago (Atlas side)differ from what I have heard (Polar side), That is the reason that I left it out completly. For your purposes of thinking about a job here, Ignore anything...

    Polar/Atlas - Objective Truth

I'll give it a shot here. If the T/A passes, Polar and Atlas will be merged within 18 months (In Theory) Judge ruled that Atlas had to fly Polar freight, HOWEVER, they were NOT required to cross a Polar picket line. The bad blood, a lot of which was already there from something that happened...

Polar Air Cargo, 30 days out from possible strike.

Dunno how this one is going to play out. The struck rules are out, so that means that Atlas can load the planes with Polar cargo and not be a scab. So the only thing left to the Polar strikers seems to be the picket lines. Looks like the Judge threw each side a bone. At least the Atlas...

Polar Air Cargo, 30 days out from possible strike.

Further info.... Looks like the restraining order is in effect, to an extent. The struck work rules are still out, however the court did rule that no Atlas pilot can be disiplined for not crossing a picket line. And that they are not required to cross any Polar picket line. So it comes down...

Polar Air Cargo, 30 days out from possible strike.

Would not include newbies as per the contract, and many Atlas ground instructors are not ALPA. It would however shut down the sim portion of training since the instructors are Atlas pilots (Unless they cross the line). A student would not be a scab until they completed IOE. If they fly an...

Polar Air Cargo, 30 days out from possible strike.

EDIT: VARS is now up on the subject. My guess is that ALPA national and the Atlas MEC will be coming out with something soon re-establishing the affirmation of SCAB status for any crew member crossing a legal picket line.

Polar Air Cargo, 30 days out from possible strike.

Just heard that the Judge ruled in the Unions favor. There are some restrictions, but suffice it to say the Company is really going to be under pressure. States that no Atlas crew member can be forced to cross any Polar line.....but he/she has to see the line. This effectivly shuts down the...

Polar Air Cargo Is ON STRIKE!

All Concerened, Please do not use the scab word just yet. According to the reports the Atlas crews are being dilligent about checking for Polar freight being loaded on their airplanes. There were 4 pallets of freight discovered and pulled sometime earlier today by an Atlas crew. There...
