    NWA Employees Now Dumpster Diving?

PUUuuuuLLLeeezzzze,,,you mainline NW types who just recently introduced the new legacy (read regional) pay scale, have no one to blame but yourselves. You guys should thank each and every one of your FA's you come into contact with everyday for having the balls to fight your battle for you.

Northwest Flight Attendants Reject Second Tentative Agreement

Spoken like a tried and true ALPA crony. Go get a haircut and shave that 70s era mustache dude.

    Nwa Recalls

    Perfect analogy.

    Nwa Recalls

"FWIW" the pilot group at NW has exactly ZERO manipulation power within the airline now (to legally "protect" it or not "protect" it). And the "over-paid sky waitresses" of which you speak are the only group who has leverage left and the only labor group who can legally "destroy thier airline"...

Gropper rejects contract for FA gives them 14 days to impose a contract.

Hey junior,,, The FA's voted down their shltty TA,,,you guys decided to grit your teeth and swallow a turd (probably "live to fight another day" was ringing in your ears when you guys voted). If I hear another ALPA dude tell me "live to fight another day" I will not be held responsible for my...

    NWA aims to mend fences

yeah? Well the "over-paid" vending machines were the only ones that were able to take the so called "smart enemy"(ALPA term) to task. Instead of high-priced over-paid ALPA attorneys,,,all that needed to be done was go out to the playground,,, take little bully Steenland's stick out of his...

    NWA Recalls MEC Chairman

So,,,will the NWA pilot group vote in the PFAA as its representative union now? I would certainly think so now that the PFAA have proved that they are the only Union representation on the property over there that has their head pulled sufficiently far enough out of their a$$es to see clearly and...

    NWA F/A's reject offer

NW trained about 1500 or so scab FA replacements in 05,,,May thru July I believe (right along with the AMFA replacements). Gottem "certified" and everything,,,even had the on line FA's training them on "IOE" on revenue flights while a management type supervised (any protest,,,automatically...

    NWA F/A's reject offer

Ahhh! 320 has finally run out of pilot-side excuses. What is ALPA waiting for/interpreting now? Who would have thunk it? A flight attendant group ready to strike at the jugular and bring a legacy to it's knees. I find it ironic that the NW flight attendants are the ones that finally show the...

    Air Force Pilots

Wow that is an incredible statement. Personally I like spending my personal time with my family. Addressing the thread starter: If your motivation is to serve your country, that is great and by all means join the service and try for a pilot slot. If your motivation is simply getting free...

    Air Force Pilots

Not true these days with the advent of the crj. A 21 yr old straight out of college goes into the crj which has state of the art electronics and avionics. A 5000 hr regional Captain is probably 25 years old with 3000 hrs of PIC jet experience in state of the art passenger equipment.

    CASS at USA Jet

    ......

    CASS at USA Jet

This is accurate. This is crap. I don't think failed commutes are a problem (unless you get in a traffic jam in Belleville) since it is all non-sched and the requirement to be a pilot there is...live within 7 miles of YIP and be "in the building within 25 minutes of being called".

    College degree to fly cargo???

Pretty comparable wage to todays regionals for first year FO (ruffly $1500/mo in todays dollars). http://www.cjr.org/tools/inflation/ Plus, thirty years later that guy would be a millionaire. Hopefully, you stayed friends with him yip. :D

    College degree to fly cargo???

Ok, At this point I think you need to go back to the beginning and re-read the entire thread. The author asked if college was necessary to fly freight. CaptMark stated that if the author wanted "his" job (his profile states that he works for FedEx), go to college. I agreed and added that...

    College degree to fly cargo???

That was my point. I have plenty of friends at Brown, all with civilian backgrounds. Most flew charter for UPS off of YIP to get their foot in the door there. No friends at Purple.

    College degree to fly cargo???

Are you going to try and convince me that FedEx isn't notorious for preferring military folks? I'm not talking about the civilian success stories there over the last 10 months...tell us about their hiring over the last ten years...

    College degree to fly cargo???

Go to college I agree ,,,definitely get a 4 year degree, no matter what. However, with regard to CaptMark's reply. To REALISTICALLY have a shot at his job you better sign up for an 8 year pilot gig in the military (preferably Air Force) after college. Yes they hire the token civilian...
