    208 icing AD

I'm curious, are the cargo operators freaking out about the new 'no flight in moderate+ icing conditions' AD that just came out? Is anyone trying to fight it? Any real bad experiences with ice in the 'van on this board? Is it just mostly a pilot error thing or..........? Thanks.

    Ameriflight SJU Base

What type of equipment does Ameriflight operate out of San Juan? What would be the typical upgrade process look like in San Juan? Is SJU still considered a junior base (i.e. - could I get that right out of training)? Now the biggy: How happy do the SJU crews seem to be? Thanks in advance!

    EMB 110 crash in MHT

Just watching the news, reporting a 110 crashed into the Walmart at the end of 35. Reported engine failure on departure. Pilot alive, and reported in decent shape! I'm assuming it's AirNow. link.

    RV suggestions, please.

Well, it is a sad day. I sold the old Apache project that I have been "working" on for over 5 years. The commute to the hangar (1.5 hours each way) was killing me and it was unheated to boot. Not good for being in Sanford, ME in the middle of February. So, the first airplane I ever owned is...

    Refineries

So, where are the major Jet and 100LL refineries in the US? I would imagine that if over, say, 20% of our refining capacity WAS in the Gulf states, that we are ALL going to be in a world of hurt. Would this mean the shutdown of the smaller corporate flight departments. I can just imagine what...

I was born 20 years late!

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/852959/M/ I remember my first flight on a United 727. I think that was the first time I realized I wanted to fly for a living. A couple of years later I was fortunate enough to get a tour of the cockpit on an Eastern 727. Good times! Anyone on the...
