    Dont know what part of the country you are in....but...just did mine (live in Chicago land) DPA FSDO, called them, told me that if I was 121 Captain, fill out an 8710 and they would have me in and out of there in less than ten minutes...and the FAA was kept their promise and then some.     Soooo... For those of you flying for...lets say an outfit in the Middle East...and you are paid "tax free" salaries----is that 100% cash in the pocket? What gives you the "expat" status (time away from the US?) and do you ever have to pay Uncle Sam anything from cash earned abroad? Very curious...

    S.O.D.A Statement Of Demostrated Ability ex...color vision---you cant pass your AME's "normal" color vision test, but a you can pass an alternate test (one he may not have), but administered by lets say an Opthamolagist (sp?). Your AME will accept this documentation, because he is not a color...
