    New Alaska Airlines base

    perception is reality.

    New Alaska Airlines base

Yes he is....but he lives in Washington and rarely flies...union business and all.

Alaska offerers 80K to retire is it enough?

...and I know one. Hopefully the same guy.

    More Alaska Furloughs

I am pretty sure it was a freighter, but I can't back that up. And I was not inferring you were the guy to get him canned. I was too lazy to post twice and addressed the bottom bullet to Fubijaakr or whatever his name is. Also, if you think I am one of the standard web board dudes you are wrong...

    More Alaska Furloughs

Oh, there were plenty of comments via PM's. I've never been called such names before. But I guess I know the answer to my question

    More Alaska Furloughs

Give me a break! Mach, There is not enough room for everyone who has an opinion to be on the MEC or the NC to get things changed to his or her agenda. However, I for one am fed up with the standard defense by the senior f'ers that in order to have an opinion I should have had to serve ALPA. Let...

    More Alaska Furloughs

That's right! The union actually said in the road shows that they tried to get rid of it but the company wouldn't budge, yet here we are with a VSA system that is even better for the senior greedy f'ers. Go figure.

    More Alaska Furloughs

Not disagreeing with anything you put here, but there are a few issues I'd like to point out: 1- I have no doubt they were gonna furlough anyways, I just firmly believe that this contract etched it in stone and more than likely increased the number. Look, the efficiencies in scheduling are far...

    More Alaska Furloughs

Too little, too late apparently. But thanks for noticing, banana.

    More Alaska Furloughs

No gloating here. I am not happy about this new contract...obviously...just pointing out that I made several statements that should have highlighted to people how it is possible that this contract would screw everyone that is not a decent line holding captain. I'm not claiming to have any sort...

    Alaska TA passes

I'd take one. However, I had a couple of Mike's "I voted NO" stickers and they didn't do me any good.

    Alaska TA passes

I'm a 15%er I am one of the few who was willing to take a stand against a mediocre contract after taking it in the shorts by a company making millions. I, like many others, will pay a dear price for this contract, not this year, but over the next couple. And four years from now I hope you can...

    ALASKA PILOTS - Please read!

    Sorry you feel that way.

    ALASKA PILOTS - Please read!

Folks, Before you vote for this realize that the temporary money fix may be the final salvo at securing your right seat for a LOOONG time. Points to ponder: 1-VSA and 85 hr lines are lower right now due to no contract and furloughs. You think the fence sitters will keep this position when the...

Alaska TA is out. Pay Rates.

I'll also answer this one. I'm not naive enough to believe the mediator would release us if we didn't get a 50% pay raise bringing us back to where we were, but I do believe there is more to be had. I believe the initial raise is just ok. Where it loses me is the paltry 1.5 % raises thereafter...

Alaska TA is out. Pay Rates.

Well, it's kinda your business since it will have a minor impact in CAL's and other upcoming negotiations. And you're right..it is a POS. But I am afraid it will get voted in because I personally believe most Alaska pilots are afraid of the possibility of a strike and will take the (pathetic)...

Yes, thanks for asking. You came to the right place.

    Alaska returns to Bellingham

I agree with the "who knows and who cares" post, but this one is factually incorrect. I know because I got to live through it. 34% pay cut and all. In fact, most everything you mentioned about our pay cut was incorrect. 1st, our contract was very specific when it talked about what the factors...
