    Avoid at all cost

With my experience in this here aviation industry, this idiot is most likely a 777 or Airbus captain now. Fu<k up move up. Do miss Avbug though. Hope he is doing okay.

    Cuba

Not too sure just exactly sure what you are inquiring about, but I'll do my best to answer. I've flown into Havana quite a bit in the past, last flight was in 1998. These flights were a US Government operation so getting permission was completely out of my area. So just on the flying side this...

    Checkride failures

Interesting question, fortunately I never had this problem in corporate operations, but in the Marshal Service we did have this issue occur a few times. If any pilot failed a check ride, for initial or recurrency, they would receive retraining, if they failed again, out they were of a job. We...

Fat, tired marshals can?t stop terrorists

Air Marshals are not trained to run a hijacker down, they are trained to kill them with one shot to the head. So give me a fat guy that can shoot, compared to a work out freak that cannot hit the side of a barn, any time when someone tries to hijack an airliner that I am on.

Pilots are cool in other countries!!!

And yet, they still lost the war. :p Oh, and one never wears a tie while wearing a short sleeve shirt, including a uniform shirt. Just not done.

    Idiot Crashing B200.

Don't be so quick to judge. As I have a hunch that when the accident report comes out, it will show that he was not buzzing the drag strip. The last ATC report that I have read, had him in a holding pattern IMC. I watched the video a few times and whomever was flying the aircraft never...

    Crash at ASE...

Join the club my friend, I averaged once a week for over 16 years combined operating in and out of ASE. Starting out in Jet Commanders in the mid 70's and ending up in Falcon 50/900EXs. The last three years before I retired I strarted dreaded going there. Unless clear and million with light winds.

    Crash at ASE...

From listening to the tape, it looks like the fire CFR trucks were rolling in just about one minute after the crash. That's pretty damn fast no matter where it is The CFR call sign is Striker, or something close to that. I appears the aircraft crashed at about 21:55 and the trucks were...

    Psychic abilities

How come none of these people ever see naked, good looking women? Hell, if I'm going to have a vision, I want it to be a damn good one. :p

    Single-pilot jets?

"Busting minimums"? Now just what did those minimums ever do to you that made you break them? :p

    Single-pilot jets?

Just a couple of points, the military, USAF version of the Sabre 40, the T-39 was a single pilot aircraft, it also had no auto-pilot, no radar and no anti-skid. The Lear 24 was originally designed as a single pilot aircraft. Bill Lear tried every trick in the book to receive FAA approval for...

    FAA Ramp Checks

After I retired from the Marshal Service and returned to corporate flying, I sweated blood for years about being ramp checked in southern California. When I was with the Marshal Service I had a run in with an FAA chap in Long Beach. We were parked, 727, on our normal spot on the northwest...

I always pretended that no one was back there. :p

    South Pacific facilities

I know that there are some restrictions regarding Easter Island, but as wildbill posted, Universal will have all the details. For first time true international operations, not Mexico or Canada, but real international operations for those that have never done this sort of operations, use...

Need advice plz... G200 or CL300

If he is going to be operating in and out of Aspen year round, he might consider a used Falcon 50/50EX or a 900. In the winter, when the tempature is low enough, a Falcon 900EX can non-stop London out of Aspen. But if his operations are not going to invlove that much Aspen operations, I'd...

    Key Airlines and Mitt Romney

Are you referring to the court system that was involved with something like the GM bailout, where the unions got everything they asked for and the investors got the drive shaft? That court system? Romney took an airline that was going out of business, turned it around, sold it making a...
