    Ndb approaches?

I can remember doing the NDB 26 at CYS and circling to the shorter runway when 8/26 was closed shortly before I left Lakes. But it's been a while.

    Ndb approaches?

Is Great Lakes still doing NDB approaches? I can remember doing NDB circle-to-lands there on line and not just in training.

Amen, indeed, for all of us.

Any Reviews From Fellow Frac Pilots Using the QC15 w/UFlyMike

How well does the QC15/UFlyMike setup work in single-engine GA planes? I hear a lot about how great it works in jets and I was wondering how well that setup would also work in piston planes.

    travel guitar

I've been using a Traveler Speedster for several years. Decent guitar with a 24" scale length, so it's pretty good to play on, especially with slightly heavier strings to counteract the shorter string length. A friend of mine just bought one of the newer models from Traveler called the EG-1...

XLS+ at Netjets and Citationshares - Questions

The Pro Line 21 setup is nice. Sadly, no more new EP's for NetJets or others given that Cessna is longer building them. But back to your regularly-scheduled thread. We'll have to see when (if?) NetJets ever takes XLS+'s.

Hawker Beechcraft struggles in depressed aircraft market

For all of the Hawker Beechcraft employees, good luck with "Dollar Bill" Boisture. For those who've not heard about H B hiring Moisture earlier this year, here's an article for you: Reuters There weren't too many tears shed when he scurried away from NetJets.

I think American is still utilizing SABRE. Any AA or Eagle people who can confirm that?

    Which FBO to Choose?

Or, in the case of my employer, they tell us which FBO to use. The company has "preferred" FBO's at larger airports though the customer can choose which FBO is to be used.

Net Jets to Furlough 500...??? Right...

I had dinner with a friend of mine who's an 8-year guy on the XL and he has put in for the early out. His concern is that he might not be senior enough to get the deal. I truly hope that he gets the early out and I also hope that the popularity of that deal and the other preventative measures...

NetJets' Captains need to get over themselves!

I heard one yesterday: you might be a frac pilot if you'd rather land in the Hudson than at TEB. (All due respect to the crew of US 1549.)

NetJets' Captains need to get over themselves!

Has anyone seen that "You know you're a frac pilot when..." email? I heard there's some good stuff in that one.

    Ground School

Pool training is, fortunately and thankfully, gone for this year. Raft training now takes place in a room at FSI. Day five of company recurrent for '09 is a full day of service-related training and a 2-ish hour presentation typically from DR.

    Great Lakes

Really well said, 808. The experience at Lakes has paid off for me, too. While it would have been nice to have made more money while flying there, I'm glad to have had the experience and made the friends that I did. The flying at Lakes made training at my current job so much easier. And...

    Great Lakes Airlines?

I left there over 4 years ago but unless things have changed, it would be a very good idea to be prepared to demonstrate an NDB approach in the sim. The 1900's were equipped with ADF's and again, unless things have changed, there's no GPS so one is pretty much down to ILS/LOC, VOR and NDB...

I need to rent a Seneca - DFW ADS area

It may be a bit of a drive and I don't know if they have one, but North American Flight Academy at DTO used to have a Seneca, N15789. I see that N15789 is now registered to someone in MO, but perhaps NAFA has another Seneca.

Isn't an ex-Pat some who gets traded from New England to some other team?
