    JT-15D-1A Overhauls

Contact Pual at STS, Inc. http://www.specialtyturbine.com/ He saved my former company BIG money on their SII JT15D's and was very easy to work with. Good luck! Treetop

    GRB/ATW area jobs?

I don't know if they are still looking but give Oshkosh Truck a try. I'll look for the address...last I heard they had an opening. Not much in GRB that I know of...let me do some asking around. Good luck! Treetop

    CRJ to Challenger

What AZ Typed said... Transitioning from the CL65 to the CL604 is no problem. The biggest difference (IMHO) is the fuel system on the 604. Flying the sim is essentially the same and you'll have no issues with the Proline 4 (It all looks the same (for the most part)! Treetop

    CVG area AME

Not sure if he is still around. If not, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Villegas. http://www.aviationmedicinecenter.com/ He's by far the most professional AME I've ever used. Good luck! Treetop

    Costa Rica

I can't speak for the FBO... Costa Rica is a GREAT place. San Jose is a big city...and like any other big cities it has it's issues. Be aware of yourself and your surroundings and you'll be fine. I'd use caution when in the public bus stations (pickpockets, etc.). The public transportation...

    Job search

Not at all. That is EXACTLY how I got my current job (the best job I've ever had). I dressed in business casual (sportcoat but no tie) and rang the doorbell at the hangar. I asked for the CP and we chatted for 10-15 minutes. Long story short...I kept in touch over the next two years and...

    CL65 to CL604

This is accurate. I went through this exact thing a while ago. The CL65 (while similar in many ways) won't get you any shortcuts to the CL604 type. I had to do the full blown initial. On the bright side, if you have lots of CRJ experience, you'll have NO trouble with the type. Good luck...

    FSI hiring

Totally unconfirmed info... I've heard if you're typed with some experience they'll start you between 50K and 70K. Anyone have better info? TF

    Southern Ohio/N Kentucky AMEs

http://www.aviationmedicinecenter.com/ I went to Dr. Villegas for four years. Great guy with the pilot in mind. Had a friend who had heart issues and the good doc went to bat BIG time for him. His office is extremely organized. I HIGHLY recommend his services. Treetop

Salary for a corporate pilot in this case...

Tell us where you're based...maybe someone knows of another outfit looking. I'll admit, the helo rating is a nice perk, but I wouldn't condiser it (the training) as part of your compensation package. Putting your personal financial position aside, unless you've done a TERRIBLE job for your...

    Citation 501 contract rate

Used to get $400/day plus all expenses but that was a while ago. I'd say $500/day is fair.

    tubo commander 690

If the Commader is where you're headed, I'd bypass the 690's and look for a quality 840. It's a good performer, and Rockwell/Gulfstream fixed a lot of the nagging issues the 690's had. If the budget allows, proceed to the 900/1000 stable. With proper maint. and a bit of patience, the...

    Looking for a 604 Mechanic

Rick, There was a guy (username "bhazen") who was looking for a CL604 mech. gig. My company filled our position internally (when we were looking) but I said I'd keep and eye out. You might PM him... Good luck with your search! Treetop

Question for former airline pilots now flying corporate

Hey TC what's up? Drop me a PM sometime. TF As for leaving 121 for Corporate...I left to fly for a small part 91 company. What I thought was going to be a great small town gig became an on-call 135 job with poor QOL. Now I'm flying great equip. for a big company who puts a HIGH value on...

Best source for airline employee deals

Ahh the joys of the "airline discount!" There are the usual suspects: perx.com dargal.com ASU etc. I have had the best success by choosing a place I want to go...and simply calling and asking for a special rate. This has worked for hotels, cruises and just about anything else. You could...

    Gel pad for the G200????

Wow...are the seats really that bad?! I think Brookstone or Sharper Image have seat cushions. They may be "memory foam" or something similar. Don't know about the gel. Good luck! TF
